JGP1954,EVERY older baseball player, executive or fan would love to hear one hour's-H**L,ONE DAY'S-conversation about Leo Ernest Durocher, who in '69,reamed out his ace (and my cousin) Fergie Jenkins for a frivolous reason .(Perhaps Leo didn't care for Canadian lads ;two years later,Fergie became the only black North American-born hurler to pitch 30 complete games in a season for Durocher.) Leo's favourite player of all time,"The Say Hey Octagenarian," Willie Mays, turns 88 Monday, the same age to which his father,Willie Mays,Sr. lived.)

Ron’s utter disinterest in the new podcast of his so-called friend, Denny McLain, as expressed in today’s show, reinforces the fact that his interest in the outside world only extends to the tip of his nose.

I know he's very bitter and washed up but why he still won't accept the fact that others are doing new and exciting things is just stupidity. He supresses any talent he's had working with him recently also and refuses to let them spread their wings.

313sports,Cameron is nearing a half-century (next July 1) on the air. It's time he retired for new,more-exciting blood .

Retire to what, Cowboy? And it's not like he's occupying valuable air space, as he's buying time on what's effectively the graveyard shift.

Believe me, Ron is the only program that I listen to on WDTK!

JGP1954,Ron says he isn't that conservative ,which makes me think he's run out of stations which will let him buy time to spew his fantasies and hatred of today's athlete . ( When he's finally off the air,his 70ish,80ish and even 90ish buddies will get more more air time .)

Ron detests Trump, but it seems that's more of a personal, rather than, political judgment. He does, though, routinely side with ownership over professional athletes, so he may be right at home at the Patriot.

Mono,Ron comes from an era during which most fans supported management over players, and in fact, his jock "buddies" who are his guests are usually pro-management and envious of the modern athlete's salaries and power .(Save the NFL,where all but the top one percent are treated as admittedly munificent serfs by the owners,GMs and coaches .)

I did not listen to the show this past weekend for I was out of town. This show has gotten to the point where it's only worth listening to if Alex is producing, otherwise it is literally a train wreck. His disdain for others that he has worked with who have better success without him shows how selfish he really is.

Is there another show with as much dead air? Is there another host who verbally stumbles and stammers? Anyone more boring, flat and monotone? And nobody can be as illiterate and verbally clumsy when reading commercial scripts/ ad copies. Just because one has many opinions doesnt mean they are qualified to have a radio show. You have to be a good, provocative speaker that attracts and holds listeners attentions. This goofball is completely lacking in that department and has no business rambling and tripping over his words behind a plugged-in mic.

Y.M. Ionhere,Cameron buys time (as opposed to having a REAL show) on any station which will tolerate his crabbiness, borderline illiteracy and off-the-wall conspiracies, and since his hackneyed act (well,SOME of his guests such as Bob Miller,Charlie Maxwell, and a few of his other octogenarian and nonagenarian guests who were we Baby Boomers' fvourite players are still articulate and vibrant ) is wanted nowhere else ,Cameron's career is obviously nearing its swansong .

I can't remember Ron ever talking about politics. Obviously, he's on WDTK because broadcast time is less expensive on that station, NOT his political beliefs. Personally, I think WDFN should give him a show, or at least bargain rates for contract time. He would give WDFN what they need, LOCAL content. And, it's throwaway time on the weekends. However, IHeart is a mega corporation, and they are probably hidebound in their corporate programming ways.

JGP1954, you’re right that Ron doesn’t generally talk about politics as it, along with EVERYTHING other than the traditional big 4 sports, is definitely outside his wheelhouse. He does, however, attack Trump, a man with whom he, oddly enough, shares much in common. But a regular show on WDFN?! The man who is seemingly constitutionally averse to any pre-show preparation, uses air time to read box scores/stats and, a gaffe-machine himself, correct callers’ grammar and pronunciation, relies on phantom caller’s questions, e.g., “how do you think the Tigers will do this year?”, recycles the same old - and, at times, fanciful - stories, and engages in constant over-the-top attacks on his enemies, perceived or otherwise?! No, this kind of unique talent deserves no less than a NATIONAL audience. In fact, I even tried to convince a friend, a would-be documentarian, to consider Ron (the man with the claimed longest running sports talk show in the country) as a subject, but, after struggling to give him a listen, my friend passed, saying there was no way to make Ron appear even remotely sympathetic.

Cameron was on WDFN a few years ago. I think they charge about $300 an hour, if not more. WDTK is closer to $200.
