It helps when Alex is here, it's a completely different show.

Yeah it's much more evenly debated and not so one sided. But the 2nd hour is a flashback to the worst of Ron.

I had to chuckle when Ron talked about his days on WCAR and said, "All of the shows were foreign language except mine."

Wow, Matt just said, "I'm going to say what I'm going to say." Good for him. Ron couldn't handle it and gave him a few seconds of the silent treatment.

"Just produce." "You're guessing." "You don't know that." Loving Matt giving Ron some attitude in response to Ron's obnoxious treatment of him.

I almost feel like station management should step in and tell Ron to chill out. He's just abusing Matt on the air, it's like the poor guy can do no right. He blames him for everything. What an asshole.

if the management for this supposedlyvfamily values station didn't concern itself with Ron reading commercials for the Larry Flynt Gentleman's Club I don't expect it to get involved in Ron's abuse of Matt.

Matt will surely come to his rescue!

As I noted before, I called some years ago and expressed exasperation to Ron's screener about Ron. The screener said, "Try working for him."

Glad Ron's not wasting a somewhat decent guest in Denny with a rehash of one of his stories.

Ron was about to issue an incorrect correction of the last caller when he referred to Jim Bowden as the “author” when he obviously mistook Bowden for Jim Bouton.

Ron’s always pointing out the homerism of others, but his unique brand of (anti-)homerism - his support (or lack thereof) for the Detroit team informed entirely by whether management plays ball with him - was on full display yesterday in his exchange with Matt about the Lions win. Previously, he had predicted the Lions would lose their next 6 games after their opening game. Since he has no contacts in Lions management, he refused to grant Matt’s obvious point that a win is a win -even when he had predicted a loss - and had nothing good to say about the Lions. Contrast that with his favorable take on the Tigers, when he has some sort of communication with Avila, and the unabashed homerism the Holland-helmed Red Wings enjoyed from Ron

Why does Ron waste his time going to all the Tigers games? They're a horrible team but I'm guessing he goes for the free food in the press box.

It's his social hour to help boost his ego. Allows him an opportunity to get guests and feel like he's still a big deal.
