Things To Look Forward To On The Friday Edition of Sports Talk With Ron Cameron Starring Ron Cameron:
A) How The Pistons would have been undefeated for over 2 years and have NBA Championships if they had drafted Haliburton.
B) While watching 1957 color episodes of "To Tell The Truth with Bud Collyer, on his 1953 DuMont TV, he once again got out his 1955 adding machine and figured out that Jim Harbaugh owed him not 10, not 20, but 30 dinners.
C) One man operation and he gets no help from anybody.
D) Spring training just around the corner, which means more Tiger bashing, and why Combrero is the reason.
E) More threats about going to another station. He reveals he wanted to go to WJR, but they wouldn't cave in to his demands like:
1) A palatial office suite on the 21st floor of The Fisher Building.
2) Changing the Legal I.D. to WJR..The Great Voice of Ron Cameron and The Great Lakes.
3) Six show promos per hour.
4) Executive parking for his 1962 Pontiac
F) Sunday predictions...if Ron even realizes there's that game on Sunday.
G) How Al Avila was a far greater GM than Jim Campbell.
H) How he saved every sport, including lawn bowling and croquet.
I) 27 reasons why the '61 Tigers were better that the '27 Yankees.
J) Al Capone's ghost at The Fenton Hotel.
That...and a whole lot more coming up on Sports Talk With Ron Cameron...Starring Ron Cameron. Be a part of The Ron Cameron Experience...on The Big 1460, WPON.

Re: Ron Cameron
That's a lot to unpack in two hours. With so much to talk about, Ron had to give a reluctant, but firm, no to so many booking agents pleading for their clients to be a guest today.Willie108 wrote: ↑Fri Feb 09, 2024 8:23 amThings To Look Forward To On The Friday Edition of Sports Talk With Ron Cameron Starring Ron Cameron:

Re: Ron Cameron
The acid test will be to see if Ron got to a library in time to learn the Pistons won back to back games for the first time since the earliest stretches of this dismal season, and now seem certain to leave the '72-'73 76ers as the "All-time Worst" NBA single season participants, when they went 9-73.
Another morsel coming up, if not today than certainly next Friday is the 104th anniversary of the birth of "The Dean of Game Show Hosts" Bill Cullen. (Feb. 18, "That's True, Bill...")
There is so much to look forward to I can't sit still.

Re: Ron Cameron
One more anniversary of note. On this the 60th anniversary of The Beatles first appearing on Ed Sullivan, I wonder if Ron has any related memories? Maybe ones involving Ray Scott? Or are the Fab Four too recent a cultural reference for Ron?Trophyhead wrote: ↑Fri Feb 09, 2024 10:08 amThe acid test will be to see if Ron got to a library in time to learn the Pistons won back to back games since the earliest stretches of this dismal season, and now seem certain to leave the '72-'73 76ers as the "All-time Worst" NBA single season participants, when they went 9-73.
