Everybody's writing a book. Ray. Ron.

Ron asks Ray about Curtis Rowe all the time. Because he cares.

After all these years, Ron's monumental narcissism still never ceases to amaze me.

Ron's going to have Ray back in "6 months again"?! It wasn't even 3 months since his last visit.

I can’t believe I’ve listened to Detroit sports radio for so long and only have recently discovered Ron Cameron. I feel like he is a car crash: I can’t help but to be interested. I’ve listened to his show on Fridays for the last month. Everything this board has posted about him is true. Get no calls, then when he gets calls, talks over him. What is his fixation with knowing if someone is dead or not? I’ll admit, this guy knows a lot - it’s just disappointing he can’t use that knowledge to actually put together a great show.

Ps - I love his ad reads. He finds great joy in saying “.com”.

One of my favorite ad reads was when he said "day old scallops" instead of "day boat scallops." Ron's been on his best behavior of late. But when he blows up, going off on a producer "com[ing] in on him," trying - in his addled mind - to take over HIS show, something he hasn't done of late, it's really radio at its best.

Yeah, not gonna lie SportsTalk has been a bit of a snooze lately.

There is no structure to the show besides hour 1 call in and hour 2 interview. Throw out some questions to provoke some debate. Instead, we get the regulars who ask him if he was in the press box during a midweek Tigers-Royals series in ‘73. The guy has knowledge and opinion, I can see that. The show should be better.

The show will only be better when Ron goes off on his producer .That is good radio
.I agree Ron knows sports but he is to.dumb to apply his knowledge to make the show entertaining.

Agreed, and basically outside of podcasts, R-Sizzle and SportTalk is the only live, over-the-air radio I’ve been tuning into the past year.

A smart Ron would take these "testimonials" - along with the enduring popularity of this thread - with him as he pursues would-be advertisers.

I often communicate the thoughts of the board to him and his following on here. He likes that it helps gain new listeners but won't ever change his methods.

Having experienced, from a not-that-far distance, Ron Cameron’s sales “techniques”, I can assure you Ron is much too brutish to use any kind of testimonials or the like to close his deals. Let’s just say he doesn’t like to hear “no” for an answer!!!
