I believe Martin thinks by banning buzzboard posters he can have his own thread on the buzzboard. He sees first hand how bad Ron is at his job yet has this buzzboard following.I can see Martin saying to himself "Hell I am just as bad as Ron even worse. How can I become relevant.Hmm how about, banning, buzzboard posters so they can have a thread about me"Sorry Martin it will not work.No program director is going to "discover" you,on the buzzboard. You are stuck where you belong.Working at WPON for peanuts.
And working for Ron! It doesn’t get any lower than that. Nowhere to go but up. He’s stuck like a 🪳 in a Roach Motel in the room next to Ron.

Bobbert, thanks for the Freep article and that great match game pic. You must have a lot of old newspapers gathered down in the basement. The best accolade I can give Ron C is that his talents are the impetus of some funny creations here in this cubbyhole of the internet.

Well, more for Ron to talk about tomorrow...........Dick Butkus has passed. Will Ron bestow "Great Man" status on the Bears great linebacker? And more importantly, had Ron ever met him?

...and if so, did Butkus wonder what Ron was doing there?

68 Tiger Wayne Comer died yesterday. How will Ron and Kurt remember him?

He did interview him. Wonder if Ron remembers that interview?

The BIG questions here are:
1) Did Dick Butkus ever buy Ron dinner?
2) Did Wayne Comer ever buy Ron dinner?
3) Will Matt Shepard buy Ron dinner, now that he's been fired??
4) If everybody that owes Ron dinner paid up, would Ron never have to pay for another dinner the rest of his life??
That, and a whole lot more...on the fastest two hours of Friday brokered radio on The Pontiac Blowtorch 1460 WPON.

Kinda been busy this week and hadn’t seen much of this thread, surprised things had kinda taken a nasty turn on here and on the social platform formerly known as Twitter. I guess SportsTalk isn’t all fun-and-games!

Voting for the 2023 class of the MSHOF is now open. Inexplicably, Ron’s name is yet again nowhere to be found on the ballot. With his sky-high online popularity, maybe the Hall directors should consider including a people’s choice candidate.

Speaking of Hall of Fames .I am proud to announce the grand opening of the Kidcat Ron Cameron Buzzboard Hall of Fame. The first members to be enshrined, are Momo, Bobbert, Mr Positive and Alex. Willie108, Sparty89, radiofan 1974 and edj just came up short. On the Pete Rose banned for life from this hall are Cowboy, Luke, and of course Martin. They add nothing to the show or buzzboard.Congrats to the new members.
Thankfully, M*** has been banned for life from the (formerly Kidcat) Ron Cameron Buzzboard Hall of Fame. Induction ceremonies could get quite tense with his looming presence.

In terms of replicating the Theater of the Mind, M*** has learned well from closely observing the master.

Mr. Positive, could you please let Ron know what M*** is doing in his name? Although Ron will likely declaim knowledge or interest in the goings-on on his Twitter/X page, please also remind him he has represented to his authors, Ray & Rich, that his "fans" could access information about their books via his Twitter/X page but now, through M***’s single-handed, arbitrary response to the Buzzboard, that ability has been severely restricted.

If all else fails, you can just say, “Mr. ***, tear down this wall!"

Glad to do it. The Freep article came from Newspapers.com, but my basement includes a lot of old Sporting News publications, including the 1956 Budweiser Baseball Guide and Record Book. That book includes some interesting information about the Tiger TV/radio broadcasters five years before 1961. Van Patrick and Mel Ott were the only broadcasters, and did all of the games on radio and 44 games on TV (mostly Saturday afternoon).

The Pistons opened camp this week, so get ready for a 20-win prediction and comments about the lingering effects of Cade Cunningham's weight training before the 2022-2023 season.

This might be M***'s view of the situation.
