Alex: Good job as always, wish he had you on more.
Another thing I noticed, when Alex is on, it seems like Ron's dopey callers don't call in (Greg from Warren, Mark from Warren) which is a good thing.

The Free Press is reporting today that Bob Miller, “one of the former Phillies “Whiz Kids” who went on to be the longtime head coach of Detroit Mercy baseball, died on Saturday at the age of 94.”

Re: Ron Cameron
Wasn't Bob Miller on this past summer or was it 2019? Anyway, that is one less potential guest for Ron.
He will say "I was Bob's best friend at the end", "I was the last interview Bob ever did", "I wonder if Bob smoked"

Re: Ron Cameron
And the likes of Mark from Warren will ask if Ron went to the funeral, when he should know by now that Ron’s attitude towards funerals is much like voting. He abstains from both. Although he did say he went to Cory Lidle’s funeral, but as practically the next of kin it would’ve been hard even for Ron to skip that one.

Re: Ron Cameron
Thank you very much. It looks like every 6 weeks or so I'll be a guest. I try not to attract the low IQ callers by speaking specifics on each topic so they don't feel the need to fill in dead air. As far as Bob Miller goes, I will say he is someone who by any measuring stick was a friend of Ron's outside of the show. I only hope Ron doesn't exaggerate their relationship though as described above.wtfdetroit wrote: ↑Sat Nov 28, 2020 4:31 pmAlex: Good job as always, wish he had you on more.

Re: Ron Cameron
What team will Kurt bring up tomorrow and ask for the strikeout and save leaders and waste 15 minutes talking about the Brooklyn Dodgers farm system
Re: Ron Cameron
If it's the Pirates, it will be another opportunity for Kurt to butcher the pronunciation of Pittsburgh & for Ron, always at the ready when it comes to Kurt, to jump on him. Kurt at one time said he had no access to the internet, then later contradicted himself. With all the Board references - from Mr. Positive, Greg from Warren & even Alex - one would think someone so prominently attached to the show as Kurt would have some interest in checking out the goings-on here.

Re: Ron Cameron
This begs the question of the percentage of Ron's base that has internet access, I'd have to think 25% at most.
Mr Positive needs to ask Ron about the possibility of allowing a caller to be a guest and take phone calls (Kurt). Kurt should get his own hour

Don’t nobody tell Ron how to run his show! He’s been doing this for 50 years!

I have some breaking news..so Ron has been threatening to leave the station because of Martin for some time now. I told Matt he should reach out to Ron and now it looks like a reunion is in the works. Ron is going to ask Sima if Matt can be hired to work there full time and do his show.

Wow, Alex, our dreams may be answered!

Wow! That is some breaking news. I hope it’s true. We want Matt back.
Re: Ron Cameron
I wonder if Martin knows his days with Ron may be numbered? If he didn't before, he now does. And if he still has the pleasure of Ron's company for now, let's hope he puts Ron in his place yet another time.
Matt's hero worshipping can be hard to take, but, unlike Martin, he does have an interest in sports & occasionally giving voice to his opinions. Or as Ron would object, coming in on him. With the accompanying blow-ups.
