Yikes. Average of 11.4M viewers per night. That's... not good.
Very telling that they only managed to record an Olympic rating of 21M directly after THE SUPER BOWL. That's a drop of... almost 100M from the lead-in?

Beating another big country is a matter of honor. China wanted to get more medals than the US so they could say that we disgraced ourselves, and that China is better than us. As it happened, it was the other way around. The US is better than China. China has disgraced themselves in the face of the world.
