He really is insufferable and I wont listen when hes on. I agree it has to be his availability, willingness to work shit shifts and price.

Putting any insinuation of bias aside, Caputo wasn't wrong about the racial makeup of the Tigers. Javy Baez is Puerto Rican, Gio Urshela is Colombian, Andy Ibanez is Cuban, Kenta Maeda is Japanese. The rest of the team is Caucasian. There's no one on the current MLB roster that would identify as Black. I can't pretend to know what Caputo's point was in making that pronouncement, but he was factually correct.

Riley Greene sometimes identifies as Puerto Rican.MichMash wrote: ↑Mon Apr 15, 2024 12:51 pmPutting any insinuation of bias aside, Caputo wasn't wrong about the racial makeup of the Tigers. Why would anyone think it's intentional?
Every MLB is fielding the best players they can find. Regardless of color or creed. Professional sports isn't the Oscars, where they give awards to mediocre talent to maintain a quota.
So the warmer the climate, the better the ball player. So what?

So I flip on 97.1 today and who's on? Stoney again. Can someone please explain retirement to this clown?

Bruce Springsteen is playing in Columbus, Ohio in three days. Stoney will probably go there and beg to get on the air next week so that he can talk about his 10 millionth Springsteen concert and show his "East Coast" cred to all us rubes in the "middle west".Dan in Northville wrote: ↑Mon Apr 15, 2024 8:14 pm So I flip on 97.1 today and who's on? Marc Ryan was literally listing off his resume last night. Made for great radio.
They/them, non-binary and proud.
Remember that “2000 Mules” was concocted by a circus of elephants.
The right needs to stop worry about what’s between people’s legs. Instead, they should focus on what’s between their ears.
Audacity sucks.

He's trying way too hard to make a big impression on his listeners and co-workers. I've also heard him sucking up to Jeff Reiger and Mike Valenti.MotorCityRadioFreak wrote: ↑Thu Apr 18, 2024 4:38 pm Marc Ryan was literally listing off his resume last night. Made for great radio.

Ryan is the lastest used car salesman to be employed at the Ticket. He's the type that comes on and the dial keeps moving. Reminds me of Costa in a way- smartest guy in the room or talks down to you. I guess this is the talent that Jimmy Powers wants employed over there

Yeah he's pretty annoying. It's a shame because I've enjoyed the chemistry from all of the hosts on the Ticket this year. All of his transitions with hosts are super awkward and last week he seemed proud to be on the radio in Detroit not knowing anything about hockey! I think he announced that 20x last week. "I don't know anything about hockey but wow this town seems to love the sport!"

You know the old saying...it's not who you know, but who you blow.
Re: Who the heck is Marc Ryan on 97.1 The Ticket?
He’s doing a shift on Infinity (formerly CBS) Sports Radio as I type this. Very little actual sports discussion.
Re: Who the heck is Marc Ryan on 97.1 The Ticket?
Yesterday he was going at it with Caputo, proving to Caputo that he thinks he know everything is not so.
Re: Who the heck is Marc Ryan on 97.1 The Ticket?
OMG this clown was doing other baseball scores during today’s Tigers postgame show. It seemed that he was nearly SCREAMING into the microphone. Instant station change
Re: Who the heck is Marc Ryan on 97.1 The Ticket?
How many times a show does Ryan have to run down his credentials? It's getting old.
Other than Mr. Positive, he isn't getting much love.
