Michigan's Win
Michigan's Win
I tuned in to 97.1 this afternoon to see how the two Spartys would handle the U of M victory. I must say they didn't disappoint. They basically said they won because they cheated all year, no explanation of how they won 4 games over ranked teams the last 6 weeks after this so called cheating was discovered.I know they both hate U of M but this was too much.
Re: Michigan's Win
Did the Sparty's say that Michigan's National Championship has an Asterisk on it since it seems they hate Michigan and there bias is showing.
Go Pistons, Let's Go Redwings.

From 2 to 6 PM I would rather listen to fingernails screeching on a chalkboard, or maybe the FCC emergency tone. Kudos to you for sticking it out so the rest of us don't have to suffer.jsf wrote: ↑Tue Jan 09, 2024 7:34 pmI tuned in to 97.1 this afternoon to see how the two Spartys would handle the U of M victory. Re: Michigan's Win
Victory night, 97.1 graced its listeners with party pooper, Pat Caputo. I'm sure he wasn't nearly as bad as the afternoon show, but he certainly wasn't exuberant about Michigan's national title and saw fit to insult some (not all) callers.
Due to a schedule conflict, 104.3 actually carried the game broadcast as opposed to 97.1.
97.1's overrated PD should've scheduled Jeff Rieger to work that shift, not Caputo.

Morgan Wallen is a piece of garbage.

Why do people listen to that shit?
Voting for Trump is dumber than playing Russian Roulette with fully loaded chambers.
Re: Michigan's Win
Caputo and Stoney were on Fox 2 just before the Rose Bowl and both predicted a Michigan loss. How can you have any credibility when you are so biased? (and wrong)

I didn't listen, but I'm not surprised in the least. I would love some real competition to these clowns but it won't happen.

I listened to Caputo for about 15 minutes because I was still wide awake around 12:30 in the morning.

I’m a Sparty and a Valenti fan. Just seemed like there wasn’t as much excitement as there could be about the Michigan win. I do believe the sign stealing cast a cloud over this team and their accomplishment. That being said, they did seem like a legitimate, talented team.

That's fair. There's no doubt the media hysteria regarding Connor Stallions last autumn is causing some (even many?) folks who are not dye-in-the-wool Michigan fans to not give this year's team the credit it deserves.
The sports media also are obsessed with Jim Harbaugh's "next stop," perhaps in part because many of these people (including Rich Eisen) were completely wrong a decade ago when they predicted or "cited sources" that Harbaugh would be taking another NFL job.
I think it's possible Harbaugh just continues for another year under his existing contract. I'm not sure why anyone would assume refusal to sign a long term extension would mean he wants to leave immediately. His current deal still has three seasons left on it.
I love Michigan football, and even for me, it hasn't fully sunk in that Michigan won it all. I'm still in disbelief despite all their miscues on special teams that they managed to beat Alabama in the Rose Bowl!

Re: Michigan's Win
I recall a few years back when Mikey was bemoaning the state of his schools football program and stating words to the effect that he did not care whatever they did to win a championship, he would have no problem with it. To me he is a hypocrite to criticize anything Michigan has done.
