Re: Ron Cameron
Why should we assume that DeltaDawn is male? Doesn't Ron claim a large female audience?
Re: Ron Cameron
Because, being the courtly, well-mannered gentleman that he is, one who was raised from an early age to doff his hat & stand in the presence of a lady, while always opening her car door & helping her to her seat, Ron would never leave such a foul impression with a member of the fairer sex.ShempLives wrote: ↑Tue Sep 19, 2023 9:39 pmWhy should we assume that DeltaDawn is male? But if I’m somehow mistaken, my guesses for DeltaDawn‘s identity are either Helen Reddy, deceased & (likely) unavailable as a guest on Ron’s show, or the very live & waiting by the phone Tanya Tucker.
Re: Ron Cameron
Tigers are at the magic 70 wins. Will Ron make a positive comment if they win between now and Friday morning (other than all credit goes to Jake Rogers)?
Re: Ron Cameron
Instead of setting Friday’s odds on topics, these are for callers! Place your bets (responsibly).
Number of callers. For the record, calling twice in the show only counts as one
None: 50,000:1
1-3: 20:1
4-6: 1:1
7(!): 6:1
8-9: 12:1
10+: 500:1
Individual callers (our Rob and Frank are omitted from the lines due to inside information). You can place multiple bets here
Mr. P, Kurt, and Drew (all three must call in): 1:1
Matt in Walled Lake: 2:1
Harry in Sterling Heights: 3:1
Larry in Berkley: 5:1
Keith: 8:1
Repeat Field Caller: 10:1
New caller: 15:1
Alex: 30:1
Tom in Berkley: 75:1
Chuck in Belleville: 800:1
Cowboy: 1000:1
Windsor Dave: 2000:1
Former guest: 3000:1
Sima: 5000:1
Meredith: 10000:1

Great exercise, edj!
Like Ron, I'm not much of a gambling man, so where do we put Ron's (missing) far-flung callers from across North America the day he debuted his national program?
One or both of the Warren boys?
The "insurance company" callers (if freed by now from the shackles of their ogre of an employer)?
JJ from Trenton?
"Stuttering" John?
Gutterball Tony?
Super Rasiday (sp)?
Walter from Detroit?
Emily Gail, calling from Hawaii?

I've heard that Colangelo personally gives away half the tickets to people on the street.

I'd like to nominate DeltaDawn as the next inductee into the Kidcat Ron Cameron Buzzboard Hall of Fame (https://mibuzzboard.com/phpBB3/viewtopi ... 75#p736020).Bobbert wrote: ↑Mon Sep 18, 2023 6:58 amHappy 10th Anniversary to the Ron Cameron thread of the Michigan Radio and TV Buzzboard!

Many thanks to:
- The thread participants, who've inspired each other to greater and greater heights of insight and creativity.
- Ron Cameron and his cast of characters (callers, guests, producers, sponsors, and so on) who have never failed to provide content for this thread.
- The originator of this thread—DeltaDawn—who helped set its tone with this first-page comment: "To meet Ron C. is to have personal issues with him."
DeltaDawn's HOF credentials include:
- Starting the thread.
- Immediately having to defend the validity of this thread, helping to ensure its survival.
- Surviving what sounded like a very unpleasant personal encounter with Ron Cameron.

Re: Ron Cameron
'to encounter Ron, is to to have an unpleasant experience with Ron.'
From my personal experience, I can vouch for that phrase. Encountered him once about 30-35 years ago (at Eastland mall). After many uses of the N-word by Ron to describe "today's athletes", I excused myself as to not be in the presence of "THAT" any longer.......

Are you so sure he wasn't just quoting Earl Lloyd's mother?billmich88888 wrote: ↑Thu Sep 21, 2023 10:32 am'to encounter Ron, is to to have an unpleasant experience with Ron.'

Forgot the Warren Boys. Mark is 7:1 and Greg is 12:1
Re: Ron Cameron
Yes, DeltaDawn’s credentials - although abbreviated - are deserving of introduction into the inaugural HOF class. Now if only we could hear more details from Kidcat. I have family & friends from across North America constantly asking when & where we select inductees will be feted.Bobbert wrote: ↑Thu Sep 21, 2023 10:17 amI'd like to nominate DeltaDawn as the next inductee into the Kidcat Ron Cameron Buzzboard Hall of Fame (https://mibuzzboard.com/phpBB3/viewtopi ... 75#p736020).Bobbert wrote: ↑Mon Sep 18, 2023 6:58 amHappy 10th Anniversary to the Ron Cameron thread of the Michigan Radio and TV Buzzboard!

And he has a hockey background. Ron should be very excited, since hockey is his favorite sport.radiofan1974 wrote: ↑Thu Sep 21, 2023 12:40 pmBreaking news! According to a news site that employs high school writers, the Tigers have hired a GM looking forward to I depth analysis from Ron tomorrow
