Ron Cameron
Re: Ron Cameron
Ron must subscribe to Alzheimer's Today.
Re: Ron Cameron
Ron's slipping. He forget to tell his (dubious) Erik Spoelstra story.
Re: Ron Cameron
Ron's kicking himself for not bringing up how Herbie Brown stabbed Ray in the back. As if he hasn't brought that up with Ray ad nauseam.
Re: Ron Cameron
I'd love to see that article on Ron's Twitter page, Martin, but you banned me from it.

Re: Ron Cameron
In fairness to Ron, he didn't give me the "short shrift" as I wanted to end the conversation because I was in Ford Field. With the crowd getting rather loud, I was having trouble listening to my phone and thought further communication would be impractical.

Re: Ron Cameron
Happy 10th Anniversary to the Ron Cameron thread of the Michigan Radio and TV Buzzboard!
It started out under the title "Ron Cameron In One Word," before being accidentally deleted in 2019. But it roared back to life under its current name and—like Sports Fans' Journal in the late 1980s—is still going strong.
Here is its "origin story": https://web.archive.org/web/20180114165 ... =3&t=38513
Many thanks to:

Many thanks to:
- The thread participants, who've inspired each other to greater and greater heights of insight and creativity.
- Ron Cameron and his cast of characters (callers, guests, producers, sponsors, and so on) who have never failed to provide content for this thread.
- The originator of this thread—DeltaDawn—who helped set its tone with this first-page comment: "To meet Ron C. is to have personal issues with him."
Re: Ron Cameron
Thanks, Bobbert, for catching this milestone date! Ten years is quite something. It pales in comparison to Ron's record-setting longevity or his affiliation with the haunted Fenton Hotel, but significant nonetheless.
Re: Ron Cameron
Too bad Scoop never was able to open his long-in-the-planning (I remember Ron claiming the “fat cats” in Livonia were blocking him from successfully opening) restaurant in the food court of Laurel Park Place in Livonia as “his boy” Jake Rogers is gonna be doing a signing at ProSportsZone there.
Re: Ron Cameron
The specter of Ron never seems too far away. I had lunch yesterday with some former co-workers (who, it should be noted, know nothing about Ron) &, while having a side conversation with one, my ears perked up when the Fenton Hotel was mentioned elsewhere at the table (along with a reference to a bad fire it had not long ago). Then there was talk by one of my old colleagues of trying to get a ticket to the last Tigers - & Combrero - home game, only to find out it was sold out. I think that would be of interest to Ron.

Re: Ron Cameron
I wonder, do you think DeltaDawn has any idea what he started here lo those many years ago?
I hope he's OK.
I hope he's OK.
Re: Ron Cameron
If it was an emailer I would assume he died. Not sure where Buzzboarder falls on that scale. I will play it safe and also hope he is OK.
