Ron Cameron
Re: Ron Cameron
That was a really good interview, man.
Re: Ron Cameron
And the hiccups made a late appearance.
Re: Ron Cameron
Ron promotes his Sunday show, without mentioning his intervening Friday show.

Re: Ron Cameron
No one wanted to interrupt Ron as spoke to his world travel with adoring fans praising him here, there, and everywhere as Ted just politely sat back taking it all in. Ron could have saved all that riveting news and spoke to it while without a guest but Ted was the ultimate good sport. And to think Ron's rant started by Ted asking Ron about having hobbies of which of course he has 0.0 of those. That was darn good radio yet again. Cheers.
Re: Ron Cameron
Not too long ago, Ron was promoting Rod Allen as a guest. Apparently he "lost" his number too.
Re: Ron Cameron
Out on a leisurely bike ride today, on Lakelands Trail in Hamburg Twp. today, I heard Ted Kulfan say, when wrapping up a caller-less hour, that whenever he’s on SportsTalk that hour just flies by. Which is crazy, but Ted just rolled with it, basically interviewing Scoop. I did hear Scoop, the master linguist, refer to “DeBrisket” and what sounded like (Teddy) “Bitchwater”…Scoop always so quick to correct others.
Re: Ron Cameron
Will we get a Twitter update on Ron's scheduled doctor's appointment this morning?
Re: Ron Cameron
At one point in the show, he almost said "hormones" instead of "home runs."uncleb67 wrote: ↑Sun Aug 20, 2023 3:59 pmOut on a leisurely bike ride today, on Lakelands Trail in Hamburg Twp. today, I heard Ted Kulfan say, when wrapping up a caller-less hour, that whenever he’s on SportsTalk that hour just flies by. Not his usual line of the third most powerful man in soccer….reminds me I should ask Ron who is 1&2 on his list

I think the best Ron could muster in response would be "Amos & Andy."radiofan1974 wrote: ↑Mon Aug 21, 2023 2:34 pmHe also mentioned that River Faulkner was the most powerful man in Texas??

Re: Ron Cameron
I stopped off for some lunch yesterday at one of Ron's newest advertisers—Crave Hot Dogs & BBQ in Canton. To get there, I drove through downtown Plymouth, where I passed at least three of Ron's former advertisers (bakery, candy shop, Latin street food).
When I placed my order at the counter, I mentioned that I had heard of this place on Ron Cameron's radio show. The cashier looked puzzled, then smiled, and said, "Oh, yes, he was here last week." There were other people in line, so I couldn't follow up with more questions, but her reaction was better than the indifferent reaction I've gotten to Ron's name at many other places.
I sat down and ate my specialty hot dog and macaroni and cheese. It wasn't bad, though a little pricey. But the atmosphere made up for it, with lots of big screen TVs and a good music system. I watched a replay of the Tigers' win on Sunday. Jake Rogers struck out while Guns'N'Roses played "Welcome to the Jungle."
And I did see the axe-throwing area. No one was playing, but I did see a sign that said that beer and axes were the key to happiness. The restaurant is fairly large, with a lot of open space—it would be the perfect setting for a remote broadcast of Ron's show.
I'll probably go back one more time, when it's more busy, so I can enjoy the full axe-throwing ambiance of the establishment.
