Ron Cameron
Re: Ron Cameron
Gene Lamont must have bought Ron dinner.
Re: Ron Cameron
I hope Sima is in the building. Ron's going to lay down the line.
Re: Ron Cameron
Once again, Ron lands back on his feet in another radio station. He's truly a force of nature.

Re: Ron Cameron
I think Martin is a worse producer now than a few years ago. Didn't think that was possible. As much as I slammed Luke, he did a much better job.

Re: Ron Cameron
They were both definitely having a hard time getting used to each other today.
On Martin's LinkedIn page, it shows him returning to WPON in May 2023 after leaving there in January 2022. I wonder if there's any connection between his return and Ron's return? It looks like Martin is also still at WHMI (Krol Communications).

Re: Ron Cameron
Freelance perhaps, but it’s possible he’s actually employed by both. If he’s actually in WHMI’s studios that’s a hike from Howell to Southfield. I do know back in the day some DJs would work in Toledo or Flint and take a weekend or fill in work in the big market of Detroit for more exposure, but usually not at pea shooter stations like WPON.
Re: Ron Cameron
I think we can all agree Alex was the best producer for sure in recent years, if not his career. He would be able to fill those dead spots Ron had by actually talking sports since he’s a fan. He could fill that co host role Ron so desperately needs.
Re: Ron Cameron
I like how the second hour was devoted to hockey, and then neither Ron nor his expert guest could answer questions about the Leafs game last night, because they didn't bother to watch it.

Re: Ron Cameron
My thoughts exactly. Ron I can understand. He can barely keep up with what day it is. But I don't know how you call yourself a hockey writer and you didn't catch but a few minutes of the Leafs being eliminated in five by a wild card team last night. Kevin usually is pretty up on what's going on, but he really phoned this interview in, both literally and figuratively.
Re: Ron Cameron
For those who are in the know, what programming did he replace on WPON?
Re: Ron Cameron
It would be amusing if, rather than being vaxxed and fully boosted, a confused Ron has been tested for cova multiple times, because that's what he requests every time he goes to the clinic.
