Fox 2 Is Getting a New Weather Person

I've noticed he's been doing weekend mornings. Although I ponder if he's doing it from home 'cuz I've not seen him in the same shot as Langton and his sidekick.

Maybe Ms. Mead's hiring is so Luterman can stay in his pj's on the weekend. Just a guess.

Nexstar, who owned WISH-TV at the time, couldn't play nice in the sandbox with CBS. When the affiliation agreement ended several years ago, CBS moved to channel 4 there (owned by Tribune at the time). CW programming, which was dislocated from channel 4, wound up on WISH.

Ironically, with Nexstar now owning most former Tribune stations, they now own channel 4 in Indy. As part of their acquisition of Tribune's former stations, they chose to keep 4 (and sister station Fox 59) and dump WISH.

Interesting background. I grew up in Indianapolis in the 1960s and 1970s, when Channel 4 was said to be one of the best independent stations in the country, with great local hosts for children's shows and horror movies, along with a good variety of reruns.

WISH-TV helped launch the career of Jane Pauley.

LIN was the one that lost CBS on WISH TV then after that agreed with CBS for their other CBS stations across the country and had to drop the price with the merger with Media General at the time. WISH TV hasn't been on DirecTV or Dish Network for 3 years now and the owner of WISH TV lost in court on Mon said that they'll appeal the ruling.
