Ron Cameron
Re: Ron Cameron
Dave from Windsor has a real way with words:
"Has anyone ever heard of Al Kaline?"
"I'll call back next week if I ever get around to it."

Boots, what was your greatest thrill this hour? Did you expect to make it through the entire hour?

Re: Ron Cameron
Ron sure seems more than happy to tell everyone who has an ear that his producer is out with "the Covid". It's probably a good thing he has nothing to do with protecting anyone with HIPPA laws or anything.
Re: Ron Cameron
At least he's no longer referring to it as the "Cova." Yes, Ron is educable.Mr.Transistor wrote: ↑Sun Dec 05, 2021 8:50 pmRon sure seems more than happy to tell everyone who has an ear that his producer is out with "the Covid". Re: Ron Cameron
Boots Day made three plate appearances against Denny McLain. He walked once and made two outs.

Re: Ron Cameron
Yes, he "owned" Denny.
Bobbert, did you ears perk up with Ron's talk of Guidry as his pitching coach for the Louisiana team that, through your reporting, we know never materialized for him?

Re: Ron Cameron
I missed that, but Ron's grip on the facts of his career has always been slippery. What really happened often seems to be at odds with what he feels could have/should have/would have happened.

Re: Ron Cameron
Does Ron ever talk College sports, or does he have jealous rage for everyone that attended college? - We should call in and ask him -
Re: Ron Cameron
I know that whenever U-M football is raised, Ron always devolves into a discussion about how many meals Jim Harbaugh owes him (ten) for when, as a twentysomething, he wrote for Ron's sports rag pamphlet in the '80s, Harbaugh's speech imprecisions, & how Harbaugh's not the "same person." In Ron's narrow world, where he's the same boor, the same hack, he's always been, it's apparently quite the negative for anyone to change over a lifetime.

A Christmas Sing Along with Ron
(White Christmas)
I'm dreaming of a real program,
Just like the ones at 'XYZ,
Where the ads are pre-taped,
And guests are not late,
And calls come in all the time.
I'm dreaming of a real program,
With a producer who shows up,
May my current sponsors all last,
And may this evening's program go fast.
(Let It Snow)
Well the calls are getting fewer,
And the show's gone down the sewer,
When there's nothing else left to do,
Read an ad!
Read an ad!
Read an ad!
When I finally got a call,
It was Kurt talking only baseball,
On a very cold winter's day,
He yaks and he won't go away.
Well the lines are ripe for talking,
But if not, I'll soon be hawking,
Some things for you all to buy,
Read an ad!
Read an ad!
Read an ad!
