Procol Harum's song "As Strong As Samson"

Correct lyric:
"Weakest man be strong as Samson
When you're being held to ransom."

Misheard lyric:
"Weakest man be strong as Samson
When you're bidding him to write a song."

FWIW, I like my misheard lyric better, even in the song's context.

Sheryl Crow - Every Day is a Winding Road

Correct lyrics:
"Everybody gets high, everybody gets low,
These are the days when anything goes"

Misheard lyrics:
Everybody gets high, everybody gets stoned,
These are the days when anything goes

Madness' "Our House"

Correct:
Father wears his Sunday best
Mother's tired, she needs a rest
The kids are playing up downstairs

Wrong:
All the worst is Sunday's best
Mother's tied, she needs a rest
The kids are playing up downstairs

Lucille by Kenny Rogers.

You picked a fine time to leave me, Lucille
Four hungry kids and a crop in the field

Our kids were small when that song was out

On day I heard one of them singing

Four hundred kids and a crap in the field.

When I was a kid, we used to still sing God Save The Queen in this country.

Part of the lyrics go -

Sent her victorious
Happy and glorious
Long to reign over us

The way I heard it then was -

Center Victorious

I thought Center Victorious must have been a public square in the middle of town somewhere

Long to rain over us.

That one confused me. Why, when we're singing her praises, would she want to rain on us?

The late Kenny Rogers "Lucille" (1977) Actually the right lyric is: "Four hungry children & a crop in the field". (NOT kids)

The Stone Roses "I Wanna be Adored." The title can be misheard as "I wanna be your dog" or "I wanna be a door." People wanting to be household objects . . . it always reminds me of articles in which someone is identified as "the committee chair." I think : really? He (or she) looks more like an end table :)

Little Deuce Coop, by the Beach Boys

When it was out, my sister was about seven years old. She used to sing "My little loose tooth."

Jumping Jack Flash

Misheard lyric. "I was stoned when I drove by her place."

Actual lyrics. "I was born in a cross-fire hurricane."

This is where the deep state stoners got the name for the illegal investigation of President Trump, "Crossfire Hurricane".
