An app simply called "Weather & Radar" is Android Auto compatible and allows the user to see current conditions with a satellite and radar overlay on the infotainment screen. There is no pan capability but the interface does allow zoom in and zoom out.
I am unsure if it displays severe weather warning polygons.
This is the first Android Auto app I've found that offers live radar. The fact satellite images (in high resolution) are also included is pretty neat.
Sirius XM Travel Link offers live radar, too, but resolution is very poor, the image does not update frequently, and that service is not free once trial periods expire.
