I’m sure most people will be excited for James to be competing once again, but I’m most excited to see Steve Martin doppelgänger, Sam Buttrey, again. That guy is just funny.

Cool!
The thing is when they get all these uber-champs together to compete I find the clues are almost well-nigh impossible!

It seems since Richards has stepped away from the show, the clues have become easier for me. Including the last Tournament of Champions.
Re: Jeopardy Masters
Celebrity Jeopardy on ABC is the complete opposite. The clues are watered-down so much. Reality doesn’t seem all that far off from the old SNL parody.moldyoldie wrote: ↑Mon Jan 16, 2023 3:00 pmCool! The thing is when they get all these uber-champs together to compete I find the clues are almost well-nigh impossible!

Also, some of the “celebrities” are very D-list. Certainly, not all of them, but many of them are.

Re: Jeopardy Masters
Final Jeopardy! would usually be grounded in common knowledge, but in recent weeks there've been a few that are quite esoteric, at least to me. I love it when I strike 'em out; i.e., none of 'em get it but I did.Round Six wrote: ↑Mon Jan 16, 2023 10:02 pmI dunno.moldyoldie wrote: ↑Mon Jan 16, 2023 3:00 pmCool! The thing is when they get all these uber-champs together to compete I find the clues are almost well-nigh impossible!

Every time I see Schneider I'm reminded of Danny DeVito, almost expecting to hear "Reiger!" or "Nardo!"

Mattea ended being in the driver’s seat though by the time they reached Final Jeopardy of the 2nd game. It’s too bad the wagering tripped her up at the end.

I could almost hear Maxwell Smart (or Don Adams) saying "Missed it by that much!!"
