SanTan used to have a killer brunch menu, not so much recently. But the beer is still solid! They have a good distillery just down the way as well. The funniest thing about beer down there is, in my hubbliest of opinion, I've never had an Arizona brewed product that was worth a lick (my theory being most important component is the water is barely drinkable) but I've never found a Mexican brew I didn't enjoy although you can bet the water more South is probably even worse.

I had never heard of it before....not much of a whiskey guy. It really is something special. Very smooth, especially with the rare bourbon he was pouring.teetoppz28 wrote: ↑Fri Mar 29, 2024 11:02 amOnce you go smoked, you can never go back!Honeyman wrote: ↑Fri Mar 29, 2024 10:52 amHave a buddy who has built a speakeasy....in his house. HA... Mrs. Nightfly and myself stay at the same place if we're in town for a doctor's appt. these days. I hope the hell you've gotten something to nosh on at New York Bagels 'N Bialys across the street. Man, I still have dreams about those onion bagels. The Egg-A-Bagel with an onion bagel, chive schemer and bacon is a hellava nice way to start the day. I'd also occasionally stop in at Ernie's sports bar. Odd little place but a nice respite from the typical Scottsdale crowd.Motown322 wrote: ↑Fri Mar 29, 2024 8:18 amI'm in Scottsdale for almost 2 weeks every January for work... Unfortunately it closed a couple years ago.Lester The Nightfly wrote: ↑Fri Mar 29, 2024 2:39 am(I think you're right about McFate/Fate. I seem to remember there were some ownership changes. Oh, I've had their onion bagels more than a few times. I'm glad a complete stranger can back me up on those because I've said for years they're the best bagels I've ever had. And Ernie's is a nightly stop for me after I get back to the hotel. Shower up, walk to Ernie's and just sit there and have a few cigs and 3-4 beers and then walk back to the hotel. 5-minute walk so it's perfect. Sometimes if the mood struck and I wasn't ready to go to bed I'd duck into that shithole Dirty Dogg Saloon for a nightcap but holy crap is that place fucked up.Lester The Nightfly wrote: ↑Fri Mar 29, 2024 1:59 pmI hope the hell you've gotten something to nosh on at New York Bagels 'N Bialys across the street. Il Bosco is a spot we usually try to hit 1-2 times for pizza and beers too.

Speaking of an in-house speakeasy, there's a guy in Ann Arbor hoping to rebuild his after a fire: https://www.savethespeakeasy.com/
If nothing else, this is a reminder that insurance companies are shit.
Also, a reminder that Kari Lake is a cunt.

This is my buddy's speakeasy : https://streamlineyourmenu.com/ss/
If you click on the menu, you can see how it was built. He realized that there was all sorts of space under the stairway in his house, and built it from there. It is truly amazing. The pictures and video really don't do it justice.

Also, Wren House was an A++ recommendation - thank you!

As someone who sprinkles onion powder on their bagel, this is right up my alley.Lester The Nightfly wrote: ↑Fri Mar 29, 2024 1:59 pmHA... They/them, non-binary and proud.
Remember that “2000 Mules” was concocted by a circus of elephants.
The right needs to stop worry about what’s between people’s legs. Instead, they should focus on what’s between their ears.
Audacity sucks.

This is all false. Insurance companies are awesome and Kari Lake is great. Her win is going to be yuge. Believe me, I bet my indictment on it.Matt wrote: ↑Sat Mar 30, 2024 10:14 amSpeaking of an in-house speakeasy, there's a guy in Ann Arbor hoping to rebuild his after a fire: https://www.savethespeakeasy.com/

Very odd that the thread creator changed the name and erased the initial post, but nonetheless, the cunt took another L from the Supreme Court: https://www.cnn.com/2024/04/22/politics ... index.html
