That’s probably the cleanest way to do it and then come out and talk about the integrity of the case and how important it is to move forward with it and etc. Probably pretty standard sounding stuff. They can spin her firing him into a negative thing if they want… his voluntarily leaving for the good of the case is harder to paint her badly with.

I'm starting to wonder if Trump's legal strategy will, if not already has turned out to be counterproductive to his presidential run. There will be morons...err...supporters that see him dragging this out as some kind of crusade to counter miscarriage of justice judgement and persecution but I suspect as this plods along there are going to be more and more folks seeing this as just another example of an old white rich guy gaming the system for his own benefit to avoid taking responsibility for their actions.

The only way this really works out well for him is if he wins the presidency and pardons himself, and if he does pardon himself will he have any political juice left or will he have to go full dictator to get anything accomplished.

That’s open to debate… has been for years. It’s widely believed he will attempt it and the Supremes will decide if he’s a king or not.

I've suggested this multiple times in here, but the easy way for him to pardon himself is to simply use the 25th Amendment and have his VP pardon him. Would be controversial publicly, but legally sound.
