SCOTUS has a slew of things to decide about Trump. That should be interesting.

That probably wasn't a very good move...

Beemer is right. He technically hasn't been found guilty of anything yet. It could get ugly.

Could? We’ll be lucky to make it to 2025 intact.

No, I mean the Colorado situation. The other ship has sailed.

I could see Trump winning on appeal.

That’s what I mean… either way it’ll be uglier than 10 Christmas Sweaters.

This is a H*** tactical error by whatever group initiated the action at the CO Supreme Court. It will backfire on them.

This is correct. If the Republicans are shortsighted enough to put Trump at the ticket, Colorado might be in play.
Voting for Trump is dumber than playing Russian Roulette with fully loaded chambers.

He was also acquitted by the Senate of inciting an insurrection.

Whoever votes for that ass hat hates America.
Woe to you, oh earth and sea
For the Devil sends the beast with wrath
Because he knows the time is short
Let him who hath understanding reckon the number of the beast
For it is a human number
Its number is six hundred and sixty-six

Colorado is pretty blue now.... this is akin to doing it in Oregon and telling me he's got a real shot now. Not gonna happen... Trump is not popular there and it's not because there are a lot of Matt's there that are red but if Trumps there they won't vote our will vote Biden. There would have to be a massive red wave.

Since this is a state constitution issue, how does a Federal Court get involved?

Guessing because it's concerning a federal election.

Au contraire..

The Colorado Supreme court based their decision on the 14 Amendment of the United Sates Constitution. And I quote, "A majority of the court holds that President Trump is disqualified from holding the office of President of the United States under section three of the 14th Amendment of the Constitution of the United States."

On U.S. Constitutional questions the SCOTUS has the last word.
Section 3 Disqualification from Holding Office
No person shall be a Senator or Representative in Congress, or elector of President and Vice-President, or hold any office, civil or military, under the United States, or under any State, who, having previously taken an oath, as a member of Congress, or as an officer of the United States, or as a member of any State legislature, or as an executive or judicial officer of any State, to support the Constitution of the United States, shall have engaged in insurrection or rebellion against the same, or given aid or comfort to the enemies thereof. But Congress may by a vote of two-thirds of each House, remove such disability.
Notice it lists pretty much every elected position EXCEPT for President and Vice President.
New York and Chicago were all in with respect to their sanctuary status — until they were hit with the challenge of actually providing sanctuary. In other words, typical liberal hypocrisy.

The oath of office for president counters the lack of specificity to a degree…
