This is such bullshit. The USDA clearly did not adhere to all its rules regarding livestock entering the country, and just rubber stamps their entry just because of who it is.
“It’s important that Gifts and Good Cheer, Inc. take all the right steps and precautions to protect against the potential introduction of pests and diseases,” explained Mr. Claus. “I appreciate USDA’s assistance every year as we gear up for our big night.”
Of course Mr. Claus says this. It's easy to when you grease the palms of USDA inspectors.
