At the time it was comedy. Some of it may be cringeworthy but it was not out of the ordinary for the time. To boot Carol O’Conner if I understand the story correctly was far from a bigot.MotorCityRadioFreak wrote: ↑Wed Nov 30, 2022 1:42 amI guess one racist likes another. That show was a classic. Sadly, it could not air today.MotorCityRadioFreak wrote: ↑Wed Nov 30, 2022 1:42 amI guess one racist likes another. Horrible show that I am still shocked aired, even back then.
Maybe you're too young, or missed the point. Norman Lear is a H*** liberal. Archie was the butt of most of the jokes.

Re: Colorado gay shooter dad speaks
My philosophy in life has become this:
I do/don't
Do/say something because it's right or wrong.
Not because I CAN. Or I have THE RIGHT. Or it's ALLOWED. Or SOMEONE ELSE did it. Is it a good thing? Will it make the situation better? Worse? That's the deciding factor. Oh yeah. I have a past. But you LEARN. You do better.
If that makes me a meathead, then so be it.

Agreed. I mean, Archie had the chance to join the KKK and blew them off. Also, he had black blood in himHoneyman wrote: ↑Wed Nov 30, 2022 5:25 pmThat show was a classic.
