Are the Democrats really dumb enough to run Magic Grandpa again?
Who would you suggest they would be wiser running?

Who else has the best chance to beat Trump?

This is the quagmire the Democrats have. They would love to drop Joe like third period French. And if someone other than Trump was the Republican nominee, they would do it in a heartbeat. But if Trump gets the nomination, no Democrat other than the sitting president has a chance.

Yes or no?

I really don't know, and that's the problem. R6 is right. We know running an 82 year old man isn't gonna work, but who's on the bench?

My prediction is that Biden will run again and be elected for a second term. After that, we will have about 20 years or so of one-term presidents.

Howard Dean?
Goes to show how much politics have changed in such a short time. The "scream" that ended Howard Dean's candidacy would barely register as a blip on a radar in today's politics.

Ya and in 1988 the Biden candidacy was considered "terminal".

This will forever be one of my favorite late night bits (starts at about 3:25) :

(the interview with Al Sharpton would never, ever fly today).
