Today finds a lot of polls showing the Democrats putting up a fight. I still don't see evidence of the mythical red wave predicted by some on here.

That’s the closest I had seen Bolduc get to Hassan. And “American Greatness” is hardly a left wing type polling group.

Looks like the Michigan Gubernatorial race has become a dead heat. At least according to polling by the Trafalgar group.

Whitmere 48.4
Dixon 47.9

Just a month ago Whitmere seemed to hold an insurmountable lead.
I think there is a big difference in polling numbers when you poll registered voters vs. likely voters.

New York and Chicago were all in with respect to their sanctuary status — until they were hit with the challenge of actually providing sanctuary. In other words, typical liberal hypocrisy.

Trafalgar is not a reliable polling house. It skews heavily Republican. That makes it extremely Ill suited to this year. Everybody else has it closer to Whitmer by 6.

This is all about turning out the base. For example the latest out of Oakland county (7th district) put Slotkin up by 7… the most important issue? Abortion at 31% followed by Inflation at 23%. Guess what? There are a lot of districts where this will be repeated. This is why it’s been much closer than one would expect. No red wave in sight.

Let all keep in mind too that more democrats, by 2 to 1, intend to vote absentee. They will be counted last. This means that there may be a red mirage. So it may look like Republicans are crushing it at first until those heavily Democratic ballots are added in. Then it’ll become an uphill climb for them to hold all those leads.

We’re going to hear the GOP complain about massive absentee voting dumps again. And once again, they will make it as their excuse to restrict POC from voting.

You may not have to worry about that last part. If they want to vote they will find a way. First day of early voting in person in Georgia saw nearly the same number of voters as 2020 before they put the restrictions in place. There were several examples of hour long lines in Atlanta last week. They’ll vote come hell or high water.

Okay, so Hassan is a Democrat. I knew something was off about that poll yesterday.

Also, I don’t think Republicans have led the governorship since 1994 in New Mexico, so call me skeptical on that poll.

Susana Martinez says hi.

Voting for Trump is dumber than playing Russian Roulette with fully loaded chambers.

New Mexico has a history of alternating parties frequently for Governor. It’s a blue state at the national level.

I am interested in any polls for Dana Nessel. She won with 49.0 to Mr Leonard’s 46.3%. Gretchen and Jocelyn won by 9-10%. That’s a big disparity.

I will be on the lookout. WDIV and the Detroit News have been trying to gauge this the most consistently. Their last one had her up 12 on October 6.
