Which Republican posters are willing to watch the January 6th hearings?

Easy question for Republicans only. Simply select your name or select other and make a post that you are willing to watch.
They/them, non-binary and proud.

Remember that “2000 Mules” was concocted by a circus of elephants.
The right needs to stop worry about what’s between people’s legs. Instead, they should focus on what’s between their ears.
Audacity sucks.

Not sure my name belongs on your list. I no longer participate in any party functions, nor have I considered myself to be a Republican for quite some time now.
New York and Chicago were all in with respect to their sanctuary status — until they were hit with the challenge of actually providing sanctuary. In other words, typical liberal hypocrisy.

Not sure why people needed to be called out by name here. I'm guessing AP would take issue with being called a "Republican" as well.

But I'll answer your question. For me it is a solid NO because the committee is a sham. Now had it been a truly bi-partisan committee I MIGHT have been interested, but even then it would have just been political theater from both sides. But bottom line is Nancy Pelosi kicked all the Republicans off the committee, so to call these "hearings" is a blatant misuse of the word hearing. These are equivalent to the hearings that citizens who piss off dictators get in countries run by dictators.

Put me down as a working class socialist who isn't watching.
I started out with nothing and I still have most of it.

I myself am not quite interested enough to sit in front of the Boob Tube for any of that.
Last night's hearings. Supreme Court nominations.
Really why? Even if you're really interested in it, you can catch a 10 minutes highlight on YouTube.
Any streaming service will have a network provided "Cliff Notes" version. Just pick the angle you want to hear.
Last night was a beautiful night. (at least in Detroit). I hope no one spent it sitting in front of a TV watching anything.

Some people do find circle jerks appealing.

In all honesty to everyone here on Buzzboard:
If you planned your day around catching these prime time hearings live, I do feel sorry for you.
If you made sure you would be parked in front of the telly at 8pm last night, there's a reason it's called The Boob Tube.

Do you support Nanci Pelosi's decision to kick the pro-Trump Republicans off the committee?

Jim Jordan is a piece of human garbage, so I honestly have no issue with him getting the boot, honestly. He should not be near Congress. Not all that familiar with Banks, but she probably should have let him stay on. It was her call by law however. But McCarthy wanted to make a sideshow of this and pulled everybody else out.

Do you have any doubts about Luz Cheneys sincerity or do you think she's a RINO?

I think Cheney may have been sincere early on, but I think this whole thing became a personal vendetta for her after Republicans stripped her of her leadership position. You know the saying. Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned.

McCarthy made the right move by pulling the other Republicans out. While you are correct that it was Pelosi's call, it was a bad call. Either Republicans should have been allowed full participation and to choose who they wanted on the committee. Not being allowed to do that, I support their decision to let it devolve into the partisan clown show that it has.

Not to mention the normal standard for committee is seven majority members and six minority members. This is the way it has always been. All of a sudden oh Nancy makes a committee seven and two. Not to mention she has somewhere near a dozen former prosecutors working on this too. This isn't so much an investigation as it is a prosecution.

Not once during this s*** show have I seen the fact that Trump urged both pelosi and Schumer to let him provide national guard troops days before this happened. No one has ever answered why they both refused that offer. If they would have accepted this whole thing would have never happened.

No matter what the findings of this quote on quote commission is going to be it will forever be tainted by the fact that it was completely partisan. It's like a trial in which the defense isn't allowed to question witnesses.

Bad move by both of them..

Pelosi should have accepted Jordan and Banks, and then named Cheney and Kitzinger anyway. (Maybe even increased the number of members)
McCarthy should not have pulled out after Pelosi dumped on them. Having any participants that would have kept him informed would have been better than no one.

But this is unfortunately... all about Trump. I"m not sure what happened between the 6th and whenever McCarthy went to Fla to kiss his ring, but something happened.

This is not about Trump's policies. This is about the man. The Republican Party has become a cult of personality about one person.. not about governing, or really even about getting elected. The fascination with the person is very intriguing.. and is the binding thread thru American politics today. Something tells me DeSantis, Pence and Haley would rather he peacefully retired and played with his grandkids. If he declares for '24 before the midterms, the entire election changes... and probably not in a way the JD Vances and Doug Mastrianos of the world would like it to change.
