Neckbeard I gotta agree with bmw and Bryce that you are being selectively dismissive. Lightfoot is an elected official. Even if it was a township trustee, shouldn't be saying that sort of thing. bmw is right.

If Jimmy Fouts had texted the same thing, Sharpton and Jackson would of flew in to protest. And Channel 7 would of had team coverage of the charade marching down Van Dyke. Yes or no?

Except you kind of conveniently left out the words "fight" and "not surrender" and "victory." You also kind of left out the fact that Wal Mart's sales numbers won't exactly rile up a minimum wage employee the same way that overturning Roe will rile up the pro-abortion fanatics.
**and** Lightfoot's tweet had a target - the SCOTUS. Who is the target when the "guy running an underperforming walmart" makes his comment?

Her usage of "call to arms" phrasing was absolutely reckless and should be immediately rescinded. She needs to walk back that statement immediately if she hasn't already done so.

It is still on her twitter page. So she hasn't rescinded it, and Twitter is apparently allowing it. This certainly adds fuel to the claims that twitter has a double standard. They permanently banned Trump for using less aggressive language.

So were gonna see lefties storming the capitol now? I'll timestamp this.
I said nothing about storming the Capitol. You should be reminded that their are THREE branches of government in our representative republic. They are co-equal.

Some have marched in front of justice's homes and some have marched in front of the Supreme Court building. If that isn't an attempt at judicial intimidation, I don't know what is. THAT is against the law for a reason
Since when is exercising a first amendment right equal to judicial intimidation? :lol

Don't compare a stark raving sexist, racist, homophobe to Mayor Lightfoot. They are nowhere near the same person.

You're asking the question the wrong way. The real question is, at what point is protesting no longer a First Amendment right?

Here's the problem. The ruling has not been issued yet. Those protesting in front of the Justices' homes are no doubt trying to get those judges to change their mind and issue a different ruling instead. Per 18 US Code Section 1507:

Whoever, with the intent of...influencing any judge...in the discharge of his duty, pickets or parades...in or near a...residence occupied...by such judge...shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than one year, or both.

That seems pretty clear. If you're picketing in front of a judge's residence with the intent of influencing that judge's ruling, you're committing a felony.

The only difference between those two might be the inclusion of "phobe" in that sentence.

How is anyone defending this psychopath?

New York and Chicago were all in with respect to their sanctuary status — until they were hit with the challenge of actually providing sanctuary. In other words, typical liberal hypocrisy.
