If You're Having Your Period...

Should you really be in the boy's restroom?
Portland schools to place period products, instructions on their usage, in both girls and boys restrooms

So while proficiency scores plummet in Portland Public Schools, they are spending money on 500 additional tampon dispensers and instructions on how to use them in the boy's restrooms. Unbelievable.

Instead of focusing on education...
Among third-graders, only 17% of black students met state reading standards this year, a drop of 2 percentage points from the previous year. Thirty-four percent of Latinos and fewer than 5% of migrant students met state benchmarks in the same area.

In math, 9.2% of black fifth graders, 21% of Latinos and fewer than 5% of migrant students achieved proficient scores, a drop of 3 points from the previous year for the first two groups. Fewer than 11 migrant students achieved proficiency each year.

New York and Chicago were all in with respect to their sanctuary status — until they were hit with the challenge of actually providing sanctuary. In other words, typical liberal hypocrisy.

This is gonna make plumbing expenses skyrocket. If there is anything that teen boys like to do, it is clog up toilets. They're gonna be dumping these in the toilet by the dozen.

Well, if you supported hormone blockers for trans boys, they wouldn't have to experience female puberty. Asshole.

They/them, non-binary and proud.

The right needs to stop worry about what’s between people’s legs. Instead, they should focus on what’s between their ears.

Why would any sane person support that? Adolescents aren't able to sign legal documents, vote, drink alcohol, and a myriad of other things, yet, we're going to allow them to choose to change their biological sex before their brain is fully developed?

You aren't changing the genetic sex of a person through puberty blockers, though, and puberty can begin once they come off the blockers if they choose.

The use of hormone blockers to pause puberty isn't as radical as it sounds. There are some dangers to it, such as there is a recognized difference in bone density and from what I've seen, the bone density issue is nothing to sneeze at, as there have been spinal problems in some patients, but nothing paralyzing. Other small things are the obvious smaller junk for transgirls, but that can actually be a problem later on if they elect to have the surgery because, like in the case of Jazz Jennings, there isn't much left over to work with in reconstructing the public area.

All that said, I am not a fan of puberty blockers because the downside appears greater than the upside. I don't think the option should be available because there are instances where the government should hold a role in preventing people from hurting themselves and from parents hurting their children. I know crackpots like Zinnia Jones and such advocate for the use of them, but considering some of the stuff Zin-Zin posts online, I am not interested in her opinion on the issue.
