Biden calls for Putin's removal, WH quickly walks it back

First off, VP Harris was recently in Poland, so after Joe's visit, would it be fair to say American jokes are pretty popular amongst the Polish these days?

Anyway, the source for this is the WSJ and it is paywalled (also available on other outlets):
WARSAW—President Biden appeared to call for Vladimir Putin’s ouster in a speech Saturday, saying the Russian president’s invasion of Ukraine had ignited a “new battle for freedom” between democracies and autocracies.

“For god’s sake, this man cannot remain in power,” Mr. Biden said at the Royal Castle before nearly a thousand attendees, including Polish President Andrzej Duda and members of the parliament. Hundreds of Poles also gathered nearby to watch a live stream of the speech.

A White House official later walked back Mr. Biden’s comment. “The president’s point was that Putin cannot be allowed to exercise power over his neighbors or the region,” the official said. “He was not discussing Putin’s power in Russia, or regime change.”
If you believe the walk back, you're a moron. I don't disagree with the comment, but it probably wasn't the most helpful to not further antagonize Putin.

Regardless of how Ukraine turns out, I really think the rest of the world needs to engineer a plan to eventually put Putin and Russia on a short leash. Surely every one of us can agree there is an opportunity here. No one is on his side. His people are not on his side. Seems to me world leaders and global business leaders could put him in a box when this is all over.

First things first, remove Russia from the security council. That would be a great "spanking" for Putin. It's certainly justifiable.

Someone in Edminton (at the University) thinks this is just retort rhetoric. Saw it on an overseas channel. Meanwhile, non-NATO countries that deal with Ukraine want the US to stop chattering and put it's money where it's mouth is.

Meanwhile, Russia's Lviv blast which was 2 miles NE of the only TV tower and also the military installation seem to be a "notice us" egging on situation... since Biden is in Poland, close by.

If CNN panned it's camera left, you'd barely see the oil tank explosion, next to the hill. That did not happen though. You see St. Onuphrius behind the reporters. They are that close to the oil storage tank blast.

There DOES need to be a change in regime in Russia. The term 'regime' does not mean just 'Putin'. It means Putin, his cronies, the oligarchs, the communists, the Moscow Mafia, and other undesirables.

Ukraine is doing a halfway decent job at taking the lead in starting the regime change.

And yes, we DO want to antagonize Putin and the other Russkies.

Matt is taking some big leaps here. What Biden meant was how can the Russians keep Putin in power? Reasonable question.

They/them, non-binary and proud.

Remember that “2000 Mules” was concocted by a circus of elephants.
The right needs to stop worry about what’s between people’s legs. Instead, they should focus on what’s between their ears.
Audacity sucks.

Everyone in the world saw what Biden said as calling for Putin's removal. If you choose to ignore the obvious, that is on you.

Sanctions, by themselves, will not do the job. There has to be some physical force used. In this sense, 'physical force' means use of the military. This means getting into actual combat. This is the only way that we can get rid of the communists.
