India Opened the Economy, COVID exploded

Post by MotorCityRadioFreak » Mon Apr 26, 2021 3:53 pm

India thought they were done with COVID. They had record lows for COVID in February. They opened everything up(just like Repubes like), and they had 1 million cases over 3 days. Their medical system has all but drowned. Oxygen tanks are non-existent. Is this our future when the next pandemic hits?

They/them, non-binary and proud.

Remember that “2000 Mules” was concocted by a circus of elephants.
The right needs to stop worry about what’s between people’s legs. Instead, they should focus on what’s between their ears.
Audacity sucks.

Apples and orangutans.

The land mass of India is a third of the United States, yet India has 1.366 billion people, with a "b."

That's not just a billion people. It's a billion, plus 38 million, plus the population of the United States.

999.5 million FEWER people life in the United States, and the United States is three times the size of India.

Please come back with you have an actual argument.
Please come back when you are in hell, troll cunt.

Also throw in that India's health care system is nowhere near as advanced of that of the US, UK, and other First World countries

Sweden never closed their economy, observed mask usage never got above 10 percent, their mobility is no different than that of the US, and yet without explanation, they're still doing better than the state of Michigan.

And still doing worse than their Nordic neighbors, which are far more comparable to Sweden than anywhere in America.

My point is, if you were to listen to the left, a 7% mask-wearing rate while leaving the economy open during the entire pandemic should have lead to absolute devastation and a virus completely out of control - yet, that didn't happen in Sweden. Are their case rates higher than in Finland and Norway? Yes. But not by a ton. Not to mention that Sweden DOES have the highest population density of those 3 countries.

Sweden also has a much lower rate of comorbidity than the US (i.e., 10% of the population in the Swedish population is obese compared to 40% for the US), as well as different living structure than the US. Half of Swedish households are single person, making physical distancing much easier than in it is the US, where 30% of households are single person.

I'm here for a good, hearty debate, to agree and disagree respectfully, and commiserate on the current state of terrestrial radio.
