It's starting to become apparent. Why they REALLY want to defund the police. If there are no police, all the violent criminals will kill each other. That's what they did in Central America before they started sending all the people they didn't want to the US. There are riots in Minneapolis and Portland again tonight. The police ought to just leave and let them destroy it all. Last year, it was Trump they hated. Who is it they hate this year? In Orwell's "1984" it was Goldstein they hated. Every day they had a 2 minutes hate for Goldstein. NBC, CNN, MSNBC, NYT, CBS, ABC. They still have the all day hate for Trump. Don't you understand? This is hogwash. You read some statistics. Here's one for you. 68 percent of homicides occur in just 5 percent of the nation’s counties. These homicides also tend to be concentrated to relatively small pockets of those counties. That statistic represents actual homicides, NOT homicide arrests. No selective enforcement in that statistic.

Would you care to guess the racial demographic of the small pockets of the counties in which our nations vast majority of murders occur? Could it be that police agencies target their efforts in areas where more crime takes place and more crime does indeed take place in areas populated by minorities?

This whole blame the police and racial injustice movement, in my opinion, is an attempt to cover up the true cause of poverty and high crime rates in the cities that Democrats have controlled for years. If we make police and racial injustice the boogie man, Democrat policy and initiatives, Like the racist LBJ's "Great Society" which caused the breakdown of the family unit in poor communities may not come under scrutiny. Poor life choices because of a woeful lack of education in Democrat run school systems and Democrat controlled teachers unions may not get the blame.

This is what happens when you remove $1 million dollars from a police budget and divert it to "education and mental health."

From today's Detroit News:

Four people were arrested Monday after an alleged road-rage shooting in Hazel Park led to a police chase through two cities, which ended when the vehicle crashed.

A 19-year-old man, two 18-year-old men and a 19-year-old woman, all from Detroit, were inside.

Authorities recovered several semi-automatic handguns as well as one thrown from the SUV during the chase.

1. Federal law requires an individual to be at least 21-years-old to purchase a pistol from a licensed dealer. This rule applies to dealers at their store or a booth at a gun show. Persons purchasing a pistol from a private seller and not a CPL holder or FFL, must obtain a purchase license from their local police or sheriff's department

2. Having a pistol on your person, concealed, or in the passenger area of your car, requires a CPL permit in the State of Michigan. You must be 21 in order to obtain a CPL in the State of Michigan. NONE of the occupants of the vehicle in question were 21, so obviously, they were carrying the pistols illegally and most likely purchased them illegally too.

Again, we need to focus efforts on removing and controlling guns that are purchased and carried illegally. Not enact the feel good, broad controls that are being proposed that wont do a damn thing to correct this problem.

I sure would like to see a follow up to this story to see if an investigation takes place as to where, and from whom, these four obtained the firearms. If the sellers of those illegal guns are prosecuted and what sentences will be handed down for felony possession in this case.

Defunding police departments isn't going to help accomplish this.
