I can't really care much about an adult man and a 17 year old if I am being honest. Most states have an AoC of 16-17. Its kinda gross and creepy, but look at Anthony Weiner and the children he was involved with. Big difference between 15 and 17.

If he is guilty of a crime he should be punished for it, but that doesn't mean I am going to have my needle moved too much. He has no role in public service if he can't stay within the lines and is guided by his dick, but I really don't feel angry or really care much. Fifteen is another story. In today's world, a 17 year old has pretty much been there, done that and punishing a guy for getting with a 17 year old is just exploiting the stodgy nature of lawmaking. A 15 year old is too young for that kind of shit.
