I wonder if there will be a surge after this. My news department also had a story out of Michigan about how cases are rising again due to the British variant. Anyone think the screws will be turned again?
No. Lockdowns don't work.

What's more pathetic: harassing an old man who is paying to do a radio show or supporting a grifter like Trump?

Wishful thinking much? They’ll be turning the screws back on soon. Watch.

People won't tolerate restrictions again. That shit is done.

That doesn’t mean they won’t try it first. C’mon... you’re smarter than that.

Maybe Gordon was the problem. There have been no threats lately, not even on Friday.

They're going to be funneling 350,000 folks through Ford Field over the next several weeks. That's about 5 fully-packed Lions games. Even though those folks are getting vaccine shots, they would still be susceptible to catching the virus, and I'll bet many will be shuttled to and from the stadium in packed vans.

Might we see a spike in infections from that?

If available information is right then yes the vaccine clinic could be a major spread event. And Matt, for the record, I agree with you.

I wouldn't put it past Whitmer to outright shutdown some businesses a third time. This today:
Between rising case, positivity and hospitalization rates, as well as the spread of new variants across the state, Khaldun expressed concerns about the direction of Michigan’s fight against COVID-19.

“We are starting to see a slight reversal in some of the progress we have made over the past couple of months,” Khaldun said. “But that just means we have to double down on what we know works.”

She reiterated the importance of wearing masks, avoiding large gatherings and getting vaccines when they become available.

Progress should be noted by how quickly we're getting back to economic engagement, not how we're unnecessarily extending this thing.

If Whitmer doesn't enact new restrictions, it will be only because she didn't appreciate being lightly criticized by a man on national TV (ie, Dr. Faucci).

Unfortunately for that plan this isn’t Florida and we didn’t cook the books and terrorize our numbers person after firing them to score a few political points exaggerating how wonderful the state is doing being wide open.

Did that study take into account that the kids got COVID from someplace other than school? Mask wearing 'makes no difference' at school because the kids do not get the virus at school.

So it magically knows it’s at a school and stops spreading?

You were trying actively to make a point that doesn’t make sense?
