Insult Cops? Kentucky bill proposes 90 days in jail
This is a direct attack on people of color who exercise their 1st amendment right to assemble and protest. This is beyond disgusting. People have the right to question authority.

They/them, non-binary and proud.
Remember that “2000 Mules” was concocted by a circus of elephants.
The right needs to stop worry about what’s between people’s legs. Instead, they should focus on what’s between their ears.
Audacity sucks.

They should just call it "hate speech" and then it would be OK, wouldn't it?? Then they could also make it a federal offense.

So you're saying that only blacks insult cops? Sounds pretty racist...MotorCityRadioFreak wrote: ↑Mon Mar 15, 2021 5:48 amThis is a direct attack on people of color who exercise their 1st amendment right to assemble and protest. This was done as a response to the BLM marches!

Violation of free speech or is it a violation of hate speech?
I believe this bill falls into the hate speech category which punishes someone for committing a hate crime.
There is no well apples to oranges or well that’s different. Hate is hate!

If you don’t have a mask covering your exhaust pipe on the car, you are not trying to stop global warming by preventing the harmful emission particles from spraying out!

Unfortunately the definition of Hate Speech has already become a slippery slope. Saying some words are a hate crime. Saying other words isn't.SoutheastMIViewer wrote: ↑Mon Mar 15, 2021 7:34 pmViolation of free speech or is it a violation of hate speech?

There will never be a legally agreed list of what is, and what isn't. Two jurists can have two different opinions of the same word.

It's worse than that. SOME PEOPLE saying some words are a hate crime, but OTHERS saying those same words are not.Mike Oxlong wrote: ↑Tue Mar 16, 2021 11:28 amUnfortunately the definition of Hate Speech has already become a slippery slope. Another proposal from the party of small government gone wrong, it will surly meet it's end in The Circuit Court.
