6 Titles are going to no longer be published according to the business that oversees his legacy. This decision was made last year.

Decision was made last year? I'm not buying it. Maybe they talked about it last year, but I would bet the decision was made this week.
Re: Dr. Seuss books are racist
I made the mistake of watching some of the Golden Globes the other day. They gave Norman Lear a big award and showed clips of Archie Bunker. No way in hell that could make it on the air now........and that was 50 years ago. Progress?!? Enlightenment?

Like the new one better? There is a prize if you can tell me who it is.
New York and Chicago were all in with respect to their sanctuary status — until they were hit with the challenge of actually providing sanctuary. In other words, typical liberal hypocrisy.

Hmmmm, I'm on my phone, not my laptop so tough to get a good image. Looks like Desi Arnaz.

Nice! Extra points if you can name the actor playing him. Hint it was for the radio broadcast.

Re: Dr. Seuss books are racist
Tis a sad state of affairs when the cancel culture and uber sensitive are at a point that they wouldn't allow a well done, spectacularly written, ground breaking (in many aspects) and socially poignant program to be aired today because one of the main characters portrayed a white male the way many actually were in that time period. Never mind that Lear took great pains to counter his main characters flawed thought process and in many cases showed the error of his ways to the point of making fun of him.
That's not progress. That's regress.
Speaking of "Golden Globes"....
These here globes deserve a trophy of some sort.
If I keep going down this path, I may be able to run for Governor of N.Y. some day...

There may be an opening for that position soon. She can be the pretty face behind the man. Comes with the gig. We have to market you to a younger audience you know...Bryce wrote: ↑Tue Mar 02, 2021 9:34 pmTis a sad state of affairs when the cancel culture and uber sensitive are at a point that they wouldn't allow a well done, spectacularly written, ground breaking (in many aspects) and socially poignant program to be aired today because one of the main characters portrayed a white male the way many actually were in that time period.
