Re: Politicians Killed Tens Of Thousands Of Patients By Prohibiting Doctors From Prescribing HCQ
It's not just HCQ, but ANY early care:
"McCullough urged the government to prod federal agencies to assist doctors with early treatment options, before COVID patients require hospital treatment -- "because we can prevent hospitalization and death," he said.
"I can't think of a single viral infection where the best advice is to wait two weeks before we start treatment in the hospital. That is the current NIH recommendations. Americans are appalled by this. We always treat serious viral infections with multiple drugs up front, early. These are principles of treatment.""
It's disgusting that we've been turning away sick folks from medical facilities - especially when we spent MILLIONS to put together temporary facilities - and told them to "go back home until you can't breathe". By then, when they do get back to a medical facility, they must be treated in ICU, and likely too late to even avoid long-term complications, much less death.
Our Gov was one of the first on board with restricting HCQ for Michigan folks - and the resulting death rate should be on her hands.
This is a good summary:

This is a good summary:
‘Four pillars’
McCullough outlined "four pillars" of dealing with COVID:
-- Contagion control, including masks, social distancing, etc. He noted that this is where the "vast majority" of government and media efforts are focused, but it hasn't worked.
--Early ambulatory treatment. ("This virus infects individuals and they sit at home for two weeks. We have a two-week opportunity to treat this problem and we hear nothing about it. We hear nothing about early ambulatory treatment. There's no updates. There's no viewpoint to Americans of what's going on outside of the United States where early ambulatory treatment is a standard of care in countries that are doing it much better than the United States. It's grossly overlooked.")
--Hospitals. "They're overrun. We're doing all the best technologies we possibly can in the hospital, but the hospital is an inadequate safety net.")
--Vaccination, which should close out the pandemic.

Do you have a serious comprehension problem?? Where, in what I wrote, did I refer to anything as a cure??Rate This wrote: ↑Sat Nov 21, 2020 10:35 amIt’s a virus... you don’t cure it.km1125 wrote: ↑Sat Nov 21, 2020 10:11 amIt's not just HCQ, but ANY early care:

You can treat this virus like you can any other virus and help the host recover completely and quickly.

So you're a research pharmacist? Because you seem to know the internet truthiness to anything that would make Trump look good.
Let's just face it you have no idea what you're talking about other than what you've read in your conservative scandal rags.

You don’t treat a virus. You make somebody feel more comfortable. It’s not like bacteria, you can’t suddenly make it go away.km1125 wrote: ↑Sat Nov 21, 2020 5:09 pmDo you have a serious comprehension problem?? No reason not to support patients wanting an HCQ prescription. You know that right, bud?

So, it's the duty of the Physician to prescribe whatever drug the patient asks for?
I started out with nothing and I still have most of it.

Only if he wants my continued patronage. If I ask my mechanic to put glass packs on my truck...
He either does it or I find one that will.
Doctors are nothing more, nothing less, than mechanics. Except for the fact they only have to study two different models.
New York and Chicago were all in with respect to their sanctuary status — until they were hit with the challenge of actually providing sanctuary. In other words, typical liberal hypocrisy.

So, I have a earache and I ask my Dr. for morphine, he gives it to me?
No ethical Doctor will prescribe a medication, medically inappropriate for the patient's condition.
It always seems odd to me when on the US TV channels we get, the Drug Companies advertise their products, directly to the consumer. That's so weird.

That's because with socialist style healthcare, you get what the government says you get. No freedom of choice or input.Turkeytop wrote: ↑Sun Nov 22, 2020 5:21 pmSo, I have a earache and I ask my Dr. for morphine, he gives it to me?

Yes. This evil socialist medicine. If I ask for Oxycontin to treat my poison ivy, the bastards won't give it to me.

This is one of the few things where I differed with Gretchen. It's wrong to limit doctors in what they can prescribe. There is conflicting information on hydroxychloroquine. And while I personally wouldn't want it if I had COVID because of not being effective, it shouldn't be limited. It is inconclusive if it works.

The right needs to stop worry about what’s between people’s legs. Instead, they should focus on what’s between their ears.
Audacity sucks.
