Covid centric deaths are the only metric we need be concerned about. No? Why aren't the number of influenza cases made a big deal of? The cases vs. deaths ratio are evidently acceptable to the politico's and population.

No. It’s hospitalizations and ICU beds. Deaths are just a flashy headline. Though we had 3400 yesterday. The flu is jealous.
