I saw one of these guys with the flags on the pickup trucks down in Texas last week. I asked him how he enjoyed his tax rate increase, if you enjoyed how much more expensive things are at the store. He's just praying on the stupid and the stubborn.
Numbers to back this up please.
The folks in blue states beg to differ. The elimination of the mortgage interest deduction caused taxes to increase for plenty of middle class folks.
You know a lot of people with more than $750,000 mortgages do you?

New York and Chicago were all in with respect to their sanctuary status — until they were hit with the challenge of actually providing sanctuary. In other words, typical liberal hypocrisy.

Not to mention the property tax deduction. I believe if you had more than $10,000 in property taxes you saw a tax hike. This is primarily found in blue states.

And how many of your contemporaries pay over $10,000.00 per year in property taxes on their home?

We are talking New York, Connecticut, New Jersey and California... not Michigan so much. 45,000-125,000 is middle class these days FYI.

Depending on where you live, I'd include up to 325,000.00 as middle class, if there is such a thing.

My income is higher than what you list and I'm certainly not above the mythic "middle class" that people speak of.

I think of a Ford worker when I think middle class. Basing this judgement on the photos you have posted here you are at a bare minimum on the borderline between upper middle and upper class. Most middle class folks could only dream of having that nice deck of yours with the grill and etc. It’s quite an admirable thing to have... I like it. But it doesn’t exactly scream “average Bryce”... I’m in a middle class neighborhood.. that deck wouldn’t even fit in the yards here..

It's not about how much you earn. It's about how much you save.

On the contrary. Because I started investing 20 percent of my income per year, come hell or high water, since the DJIA was in the mid 2000's, I've been able to enjoy a bit better lifestyle than my income portends for the past number of years. I also got lucky by converting most to cash just before the housing bubble crash and then jumped back in around 7,000.

Took my 401k money, paid taxes on it because I don't see my tax rate getting any lower, and converted most of it to a ROTH.

Anyone else that has substantial 401k savings and has reached the age of 59 and a half should consider doing the same thing. Pay low taxes now rather than higher later. ESPECIALLY if Biden gets elected.

And in the end you still have one hell of a deck.

If you work hard and are smart with your money, you too can have a nice deck.

Or you can just rail against people with nice decks and demand a portion of their salary... because that's the only way to be fair /s
