Oklahoma now a Native American land

Post by TC Talks » Thu Jul 09, 2020 7:32 pm

I have only been to a reservation casino once, but the money it has provided the Tribes has allowed them a foot hold to defend the treaties they were forced to accept.

Now Tulsa is a First Nation land. How fitting...
The Supreme Court on Thursday ruled that much of eastern Oklahoma falls within an Indian reservation, a decision that could reshape the criminal-justice system by preventing state authorities from prosecuting offenses there that involve Native Americans.

The 5-to-4 decision, potentially one of the most consequential legal victories for Native Americans in decades, could have far-reaching implications for the people who live across what is now deemed “Indian Country” by the high court. The lands include much of Tulsa, Oklahoma’s second-biggest city.

Gorsuch has had his moments.

I think this is a good thing. The US has made and broken agreements with Native Americans for almost 200 years. It's time to keep their word. The Supremes did the right thing.

Cool, let's open some casino's!

New York and Chicago were all in with respect to their sanctuary status — until they were hit with the challenge of actually providing sanctuary. In other words, typical liberal hypocrisy.

No indeed! Lad, there is a whole bunch more money to be made on the house side. Think about this. The guy who owned the Miller Beer distributorship in Wayne county. WAYNE COUNTY, sold it so he could buy a MINORITY stake in one of the Detroit casino's.

Which makes Trump's failed little endeavors in Atlantic City that much more amusing...

This is the correct ruling. People that look at this as "Gorsuch sides with the left!!!" are retarded. He ruled with the side of law, as it should be. .Gov fucked up and now the SC is basically holding them accountable for their fuck up.

Counting all the assholes in the room I'm defiantly not alone.

The Supreme Court Justices that voted correctly were right, including the conservative Justice.

Get it?

Thing is... the SCOTUS isn't the place for activism.
