If I were providing ANY financial support for a child of mine to go to Harvard, I would tell them to forget it. I won't support this nonsense. Which 40% or less will return? And they have said there will be NO REDUCTION IN THE $53000 plus tuition. So you are essentially marking WAY UP what the curriculum is worth. Tuition profits will skyrocket because they don't have to pay as many professors, and they aren't paying for Brick and Mortar and Ivy Maintenance. It proves what I posted somewhere, that you are only paying for a degree, and one that really isn't any better than any Four Year Commuter College. You are just paying for the name. Now granted, it influences many graduate school and professional admissions positively, and access to cushy high paying jobs that really don't require much talent. But that is all it buys, not a superior education.

through the year... this is a back door way to keep about 2 million foreigners out.

My son is at a DC University and it relies heavily on International students to bring value to the non-academic aspects of campus life. Put aside the Trump rhetoric, we are very much part of a global economy and that creates a need to international networking. I am sure things will return to normal, but my son now has to collaborate with classmates on two other continents.
