I hope more large city officers think about doing the same thing. When local political leaders are using you as a pawn in their games, you should step aside and let the voters choose how they want to proceed.... with lawlessness, violence, looting and rioting or a society based on laws and compliance with those laws.

Perhaps we need a couple years of folks fending for themselves so they can decide which way is best.
