When I stayed in Ann Arbor, I rented a room on Sunset. The older lady who owned the house told me how Ann Arbor segregated the Black people in the "shacks" (her description) over by the Depot, near State St., near what is now called the Gandy Dancer. Real progressive, hey? The "shacks" had been "gentrified' into really high cost student rental housing. I think she said they tore down some of the shacks on Fuller Rd. and put high cost student apartments there. HIGH COST. That fits Ann Arbor to a "T".

Oh, I almost forgot. Whenever there was a murder or rape, the AAPD would round up all the Black Males in town and interrogate them. That's real progressive, right Matt?
