Where has the bill been killed?

If Trump reopens the country in 3 weeks, things return to normal, and massive numbers of people get this and die... Trump will be toast. The man doesn’t know what the fuck he’s doing.

The government doesn't need to close anything domestically. Everybody has had time to learn of the dangers.

We are responsible for ourselves, it's not the governments job to hold our hands or wash our hands.

Plus you could lose more then 1% - 2% through suicide due to economic collapse or drugs due to idle hands.

Bullshit. Complete and utter bullshit. Opening at this point could be catastrophic far beyond whatever economic issues he is talking about. If he decides to reopen things and the virus spreads rapidly then the 26th amendment needs to be invoked. He will have demonstrated no ability to lead and a high probability of complete and utter senility to the extent that people are killed because of it. It will be the end of his presidency’s day if you think the economic calamity is bad now when most of the country is home sick and the health system is overwhelmed you haven’t seen anything yet. This shutdown is controlled but that would be chaos.

RT - you're either being naive or closed-minded in not considering the severe negative health consequences that keeping the country shut down for an extended period of time would have. Everybody's talking about the consequences of the virus itself. Far fewer people are talking about the health-related consequences shutting down the economy will have. I don't know just how many consequences there will be or just how far-reaching they will be, but to pretend they won't exist is completely naive. Trump is absolutely correct when he says the cure can't be worse than the disease.

Slowing the spread of the virus and finding ways to keep the economy open don't have to be mutually exclusive events.

On a side note - the markets seem confident a bill will get done soon. Dow closed up over 2000 points today....I believe that is a one-day record.

Saving this quote for posterity as the future will prove it to be utterly false in all respects.

Biggest 1-day percentage gain since 1933 too. So you would deny the idea that we could be worse off than Italy if we let the virus run it’s course with little effort once this is lifted? Because if Trump gets louder the other bans will fall apart.

Trump just killed thousands of Americans. It's almost as if Pence and his collection of nut job zealots coached this as part of some crazy apocalypse sceniro.

For those of you upset over Trump wanting to re-open things by Easter, how is this any different than Governor Whitmer's April 13th expiration of all restrictions currently placed on Michiganders? There is literally only a one day difference.

She hasn’t made it a point to want to reopen things by then. That kind of order is extendable and will be reviewed before a decision is even announced. Trump is coming right out and saying “Hey! We gotta get this place back up and running by Easter! Wasn’t designed to be shut down ya know!”... there’s a massive difference between announcing an order with an end date that will be evaluated and extended if need be and arguing that the closures are killing the economy so we must reopen by Easter. They aren’t even remotely the same and I don’t think Trump has any intention of changing his mind on it now that he watched FOX on Sunday night and conservatives are going nuts right now over the restrictions.

But hey I like chaos and I want to see just how bad this thing can get and now that we are on a trajectory possibly worse than Italy let’s just see how bad this can get shall we? Easter Sunday let’s go right back to 100%.

Trump is not senile. Trump is driven in each decision he blurts by his mental illness - Narcissistic Personality DISORDER.

Even people who usually look the other way and excuse his bizarre words and actions are now repulsed and incredulous and confused that he’s not following “doctor’s orders” in this pandemic that could exterminate millions of Americans who did not have to die.

They can’t understand why - at this dire circumstance - he hasn’t triggered the defense production act and commanded that industry manufacture all the vents needed for all US hospitals, PRONTO!

Americans and other countries don’t understand his odd, scatter shot, half-assed, timid, pass-the-buck response. And it’s because they’re too ignorant to notice Donald Trump is sick in the head - and can only hyper focus on his self-image, his hair, his skin, his power, his money, his desires, himself - to the exclusion of all else. It’s classic NPD. All of his concern is spent on one person - Donald Trump.
