This year, I’m once again thankful that I didn’t die by police violence. I’m thankful for POONTANG!!! I’m thankful for logic, intelligence, reason, consent, and non-animal-edible products!
Thanksgiving is about Jesus. What kind of cultural appropriation do you have going on here?

Thanksgiving is about Jesus?

First I've heard of it.

When did that start?

Jesus arrived at Plymouth Rock riding a Tyrannosaurus Rex and turned water into wine and a pigeon into a turkey and fed all the pilgrims and the Native Americans. It's a well-known story.

Rest easy, my friend. Trump will triumph in 2020. America adores Trump.

I'm one of those people...or at least their descendant. There was no T-Rex, and the water was brackish due to an ancient brecciation of the local basement rock.

So people of faiths other than Christian can't celebrate Thanksgiving?

Sir, you are conflating two different events in history. The harvest feast involving Wampanoag, and "Thanksgiving" are not the same.

In Puritan culture, a thanksgiving was a religious event.

USA holiday. Express thanks for whatever feelings of gratitude have come your way. Or don’t express thanks. Up to you. No rules.

Varied traditions. Parades. Football games. Family. Friends. Food. Works of charity. Foot races. Prayers. Religious services. It’s whatever you want to do. Or not do.

It’s a hog wild American holiday. Go crazy with creativity. Or vegetate.

No schedule. No pressure.

But be warned - if you eat Thanksgiving dinner with your relatives - there COULD be politics.
