This is at least your 4th "I hate cops" thread. Its not necessary to start a new thread every time you want to beat the same drum. I'm not sure if you don't realize this or perhaps you are suffering from short term memory loss.

No hatred, just information.
Here is a beautiful story of two young, smart journalists who were not afraid to take on a dirty, nasty, fat, ungly sheriff.

Once, in 6th grade, the whole class was sitting around the teacher's chair while he was reading to us. We had tacos for lunch, and I farted so loud that they heard it four classrooms down. Those school tacos were nothing to mess with.

Did you also have taco pizza at your school?

We did! Actually, it was better than the one from Taco Bell. That was an automatic buy!

I loved school tacos and pizza. Not sure what the meat like substance was but there has never been anything that good in adulthood.

We always used to joke that we never saw as many seagulls in the parking lot on chicken nugget day.

Re: We deserve better
As a kid I was always told the school meals came from Gordon Food Service. Some of the food I remember as a kid was fantastic, so when a new GFS opened nearby, I visited hoping to find that food. They had none of it.
I never had any gas-cloud reactions to any of the food, so I always enjoyed the once-a-week my parents let me buy “hot lunch”.

Oh, sorry. I just figured we could change the subject to something everyone gives a shit about. Or at least something interesting.

Re: We deserve better
I do believe it came from a GFS styled service. I preferred to bring my own lunch as I could pack as much as I wanted. And frankly, I think it was a dollar when I started buying lunches in 1991. In high school, we might go out for lunch.

Re: We deserve better
We had Taco Pizza in elementary school, Domino’s Days in middle school, and Bosco sticks in high school. We also had these ice cream and milkshake machines in high school that I still miss 15 years later.
Before the healthy days of school lunches. Lol.

Re: We deserve better
Usually I ate food from home out of my lunchbox. But sometimes my mom would just give us money to buy a school lunch.
And we had bizarre food dished up from that cafeteria hot lunch line. Every vegetable boiled until the colors faded out of them. Instant mashed potatoes that resembled cream of wheat. Pirogies with sandpaper-like dry dough buns housing shredded meat that had a stinking smell. White paper cups holding banana slices swimming in orange juice. And a mysterious dessert called a haystack that looked like a petrified pile of dog poop containing raisins. Plus the cartons of milk weren’t cold. No wonder John Hixon barfed in class.
But once I was out of elementary school the lunches got better. I ditched the lunchbox, made my own food, and brought it in a cool paper sack. Including greasy pizza from the night before. Excellent!

I remember my lunch box from the late 50's. It was a pirate theme and on the bottom was a sunken pirate ship and a fierce looking shark swimming by it.
My brother had a lunch box with a Gunsmoke TV show theme.

Was it metal? I don't remember many metal lunchboxes by the time I started going to school.craig11152 wrote: ↑Fri Dec 07, 2018 7:06 amI remember my lunch box from the late 50's. It was a pirate theme and on the bottom was a sunken pirate ship and a fierce looking shark swimming by it.
