Frankenmuth Resistant, Ann Arbor Not, 2 New Head Lice Strain

Frankenmuth head lice are still 100% resistant to common pesticide treatments, whereas Ann Arbor head lice were not. The Burkhalter-Klink-Schultz Institute in Frankenmuth is studying why this might be. Empirical data shows that people on the streets of Frankenmuth appear to be better groomed than people on the streets in Ann Arbor.

Nah. Just more bald folks in F than AA.

It could also be that those in F pour pesticides on their heads too frequently causing the lice to develop a strong resistance. While more people in AA have discovered the pesticide-free head lice treatment that works much quicker without saturating your scalp with poison. The treatment is called olive oil.

You simply apply olive oil to each hair strand and every part of the scalp so that lice and nits (their eggs) are drenched and begin to suffocate. Then cover your head and hair with a snug shower cap and sleep that way over night. In the morning shampoo your hair so that the olive oil, dead lice and nits go down the drain. As a final step - comb through the hair to remove any dead lice and nits that didn't wash out.

The lice and nits died of lack of oxygen, not toxins which are harmful to humans, and to which the lice develop resistance.

Olive oil also happens to be a great conditioner for hair.

And remember - head lice don't indicate poor hygiene. Body lice do. They're different types of lice. Head lice don't jump or fly. They usually invade a person's scalp and hair via shared hats, clothing that pulls on over your head, sharing brushes and combs, or pillow cases. That's why kids often pick up head lice at school or summer camp.

My girls got it at summer camp last year.

There are hair places the that specialize in lice removal. And yes a heavy oil is used after all the nits are manually removed.
Ask not what your country can do FOR you; ask what they are about to do TO YOU!!
