The GOP has been hijacked. Stolen. It's their own fault. They allowed it to happen. Just the same as an owner of a brand new Cadillac that leaves it sit with the windows down and the keys in the ignition, overnight in Highland Park, shouldn't be surprised that someone drove it away, the GOP made this theft possible by their own action and inaction.

The GOP is dead to me. For the first time since I turned 18, I will be sitting out an election. Now is the time to create a third party. One free of the corruption of inside Washington politics. One with a vision, with dignity and principle and the ability to plainly explain it to the American public. Most importantly, one that will follow through with promises made.

I guess I'm a rube.. Maybe we can start the Rubicon Party to keep our country from passing the point of no return.

New York and Chicago were all in with respect to their sanctuary status — until they were hit with the challenge of actually providing sanctuary. In other words, typical liberal hypocrisy.

A sound defeat of Trump might wake them up, but I can not be 100% certain...

Bryce, I'm sure you'll live, but thanks for this...

Those promises cannot be kept without major ramifications to the negative... That's why the GOP couldn't do them.

The guy knows how to super serve his customers. He runs a tight ship.
I'm still waiting for his tax returns to know how wealthy he really is. Besides he got millions from his dad, also in the real estate business. A lot of rich people have "put it" to the little man. Casinos do rack in the cash too, often by praying on the vulnerable. Plus he had nudity in some of his casinos, which plays on the weakness of men:

Quite a few would disagree with you on the crooked part:

What type of super "serving" are we referring to? Trump has been named in 169 Federal Lawsuits (NOT including state or county ones):

Tight ships don't cause 4 bankruptcies:

Bullshit.

For example. The promise of tackling the budget. They didn't do it.

Its been six months since the GOP let the stinker of a.budget/debt ceiling deal go through. In just those six months we have racked up another 1 trillion in debt. This just can't go on.

What attempts were made to fix the ACA as promised?

Regulatory reform? etc. etc. etc.

They don't have the votes or the ability to ram these things through... Obama has to sign them and he'd never sign a stripped down Republican budget.. You need all three pieces to make this puzzle work... It was never there as much as you might wish it was.

This is why Ted Cruz is the best choice for Senate Majority Leader. He wouldn't play patty-cake like McConnell does.

Don't you mean Minority Leader? You think the GOP is going to keep the Senate? :rollin

Do any of you actually believe that the clandestine power brokers in this country are going to allow a rich man's grown up, spoiled, show off kid to grab the most powerful position in the free world away from their influential clutches?

They need someone in the oval office who they can control. Not an immature, unpredictable, unstable, volatile, loose cannon.

Right now I would not be surprised if they're collectively considering how to make sure Trump evaporates before the election. Maybe even before the convention. Hell - in my lifetime I've seen assassination hits and misses targeting presidents, popes, and candidates. Many right here in the United States. And then there's your garden variety mentally ill lone wolf. Nuts who have been stirred to deranged activity by Trump's hate speech...a la George Wallace when he was running for president.

If you think this is all a remote possibility then you don't know the history of the USA. And you don't understand the power of a demagogue to push both the mighty and the lowly into ill-advised action.

We really haven't had a good assassination in like 30 some years...
