It's over...
Ask not what your country can do FOR you; ask what they are about to do TO YOU!!
Re: State Dept. Halts Probe Into Hillary Clinton's emails.
That't a pretty misleading headline. Most likely written by a "Democratic Socialist" or whatever the ex hippies with haircuts are calling themselves today.
A more truthful headline would have been:
State Department suspends it's probe so as not to interfere with the ongoing FBI/Justice Department criminal investigation.
But, the original headline will have the desired effect of getting the uninformed believe that she's in the clear.
FYI, The suspension was done at the request/suggestion of the FBI.

Spokeswoman Elizabeth Trudeau said Friday the department had paused the review to avoid interfering with an ongoing FBI investigation into Clinton's use of a private server while she was America's top diplomat. She said the decision was made after the department sought the FBI's advice on how to proceed with the review and received word that it should follow its standard practice. Trudeau said the department's standard practice is to place internal reviews "on hold while there is an ongoing law enforcement investigation underway."
New York and Chicago were all in with respect to their sanctuary status — until they were hit with the challenge of actually providing sanctuary. In other words, typical liberal hypocrisy.

Not exactly a source with an agenda... UPI is AP level stuff...Lester The Nightfly wrote:That would be United Press International, jackass.Bryce wrote:That't a pretty misleading headline. Sorry kids...
If you look at the twitter feed of Eric DuVall who is a freelance journalist covering the 2016 election for UPI, it's pretty obvious where his sympathies lie. I give him credit for writing a very balanced and truthful story, but still, whoever wrote the headline did NOT capture the tenor of the article.

Sanders and Clinton arguing about Export/Import bank almost makes me miss the GOP shit show. #demdebate
Covering the #GOPdebate for UPI tonight. This is easily the longest I've ever watched Fox News.

Reuters does a better job:
State Department halts review of Clinton emails at FBI request
The title of this thread should be updated as well, but I don't expect to see that...

Voting for Trump is dumber than playing Russian Roulette with fully loaded chambers.

As a middle of the road moderate I am siding with my more conservative friends. The headline is misleading and the story has no point really.

I really don't think anything will happen. They will let the voters decide. Her punishment will losing.

I love how progressives ACTUALLY believe that they're independent, academic thinkers when they're really just violent, hateful, jealous people who will vote for anyone in their party, no matter what, despite the fact that they may be communists or criminals. That's why I've pretty much left the Democratic Party and have become more libertarian/independent. You people on here supporting Hillary when you know damn well what she's done and continues to do with her campaign contributions, her behavior at the state department with emails and Benghazi. You know the press is filled with libs such as yourselves and you continue to push the fact that she did nothing wrong. You're all hypocrites when you criticize Trump, Cruz or any other politician for that matter. It's pathetic.

Isn't every person with a party doing exactly that?radiodoc wrote:I love how progressives ACTUALLY believe that they're independent, academic thinkers when they're really just violent, hateful, jealous people who will vote for anyone in their party, no matter what, despite the fact that they may be communists or criminals. Re: State Dept. Halts Probe Into Hillary Clinton's emails.
Ummm no. Why do you think republicans are talking about a brokered convention, because they agree with Trump? No. I've actually had the opportunity to be part of a research team that collects polling data. And... Every single time there is an election, the majority of democrats exiting the polling booth say that they don't care about the issues, they just care that a democrat wins. On the republican side, we see immigration, Isis, the economy and education as their reasons for voting. Seriously. Independents say the same things; immigration, terrorism, economy. It's COMPLETELY ridiculous and, quite frankly, embarrassing.NS8401 wrote:Isn't every person with a party doing exactly that?radiodoc wrote:I love how progressives ACTUALLY believe that they're independent, academic thinkers when they're really just violent, hateful, jealous people who will vote for anyone in their party, no matter what, despite the fact that they may be communists or criminals. Now wait a damn minute... You're telling me that there are no issues that Democrats care about? They just wake up on Election Day, vote Democrat, then their brains hibernate and don't care about any issues until the next election? You've gotta be kidding... When exit polls are conducted they ask each group and party what issues they care about. They always get answers and they are different but issues motivate voters on all sides. Nice try.radiodoc wrote:Ummm no. Why do you think republicans are talking about a brokered convention, because they agree with Trump? If you have a party you're going to ultimately support and defend who they put up or stay home. If a poor Democratic candidate got up there then there would be Democrats staying home and independents not voting that way. We are at a point where there are few swing voters. People vote Republican or Democrat, they don't mix and match much. At least the Democrats aren't about to split into 3 parties (business/establishment, social conservative and economic populist wings).
Re: State Dept. Halts Probe Into Hillary Clinton's emails.
Excuse me, I didn't say they didn't have issues that they care about. I said that the majority of those polled are more concerned with their party winning. If you want to talk issues that matter to Dems in the research, I'm happy to tell you that. The fact of the matter is union members, most teachers and those in academia, and many minorities vote democrat. Period. And if you're going to tell me that that's not true, then I'll tell you to look at every single poll ever conducted in the last 15 years. It's way out of hand. And by the way... I've been a democrat most of my life... Still am socially. But I can't stand the extreme movement to the far left. It's actually quite disturbing.NS8401 wrote:Now wait a damn minute... What about the equally extreme movement to the far right? The parallels here are enormous...radiodoc wrote:Excuse me, I didn't say they didn't have issues that they care about.
