Trump for sure. But I have a gut feeling his Maga supporters will attempt the same thing and everything will come to a screaming halt.

Has a single Republican ever refused to leave his/her office when his/her time was officially up? Can anybody name a single example?

Woe to you, oh earth and sea
For the Devil sends the beast with wrath
Because he knows the time is short
Let him who hath understanding reckon the number of the beast
For it is a human number
Its number is six hundred and sixty-six

They really can’t. What they can do is rile people up. They can also get elected and make all kinds of rules and mischief that benefit the Republican Party. It’s fundamental to the order of things that these people concede when they lose. Governing becomes much harder when half the people don’t even think you were elected. They are by their very nature people who are undermining the duly elected government. Not good.

As for leaving office? They probably would have to settle for the aforementioned undermining or be dragged out in handcuffs.

It is a tad ironic that the folks openly looking to cheat, ignore the rules and cause election problems are 100% Republican… the very folks falsely accusing everybody else of same.

My fear right now is we have a larger than expected Democratic turnout that comes to light after the Republicans take their Election Day leads (“red mirage”) and then the absentee results come in and the Republicans start saying “Hey! This is a midterm in a year we don’t have the White House! We were supposed to win! Somebody rigged this!”. This is exactly the 2020 scenario… it was the in they needed to claim ballot dumps and such when it was just counting absentee ballots which were overwhelmingly Democratic votes — something that doesn’t happen until AFTER the polls close. It’s always been that way.

Trump for sure.
That's just a lie. He didn't refuse to leave. When January 20th got here, he left voluntarily and Biden took over.

Do I really need to bust out a bunch of clips of Democrats claiming their opponents did not legitimately win?

Sure go ahead. It’s not the same thing at all. But try if you must.

Trump views election denialism as a political virtue.
Trump endorses Don Bolduc in New Hampshire, calls him an ‘Election Denier’

“General Don Bolduc has run a great campaign to be the U.S. Senator from the beautiful State of New Hampshire. He was a strong and proud ‘Election Denier”
https://www.bostonherald.com/2022/10/31 ... on-denier/
I don't mean to brag, but I just put a puzzle together in 1 day and the box said 2-4 years.

That also means he views the correct term as election denial. Checkmate beemer.

And Bolduc has changed his mind several times about the election, first saying it was stolen, then saying it wasn't, then saying he wasn't sure.

So in reality he doesn’t believe a word of it but has to say it to please the base. Most of the politicians repeating it are in this vain. Trump is too… but he’s in denial. He’s been told by his advisors repeatedly.

So Donald Trump's definition and usage trumps (pardon the pun) the dictionary definitions?

The dictionary frankly supports its use too. But considering thats the source of the topic and it’s what he wants to use… yes.

I assume although many of his views are far-right.

Correct… there are some true believers out there (MTG and Kari Lake) but by and large they are putting on an act.

Kari donated to Democrats in the past, and there are photos of her and Obama around the web.
