Sweden isn't shutting down much of anything:

...and yet, their per-capita infection rates seem to be the same as everywhere else.
It’ll be interesting to see if they end up with a higher rate of infection as time goes on.

Trump has extended the social distancing guidelines to April 30.

That's really going to ruin Easter.

Maybe he should postpone Easter until July.

I actually had the thought that they could move it around, describe that as gods will and be fine.

It wouldn't work. They'd have to do Ash Wednesday and Mardi gras all over again. New Orleans is already a viral cesspool from the last one.

But what metrics are being used to make these decisions?
We finally have an answer:

Trump says the metrics he needs to make decision to reopen country are in his head

I'm relieved knowing those metrics are occupying a space vast as all outdoors.

Note that he is also smarter than all the generals... there’s a reason his numbers are tanking...

Smarter than the generals, though he never came close to serving....

Smarter than the scientists, though he looks at the sun during a solar eclipse...

Smarter than the doctors, though he never opens a book....

And this is the man "leading" this country thru this crisis. God Bless America....if you are really there.

I have never voted for Trump, but he is lot better than I expected.

He has not gotten us in any wars, in fact he is pulling us out in areas.

He is Pro US-based Manufacturing, and not selling the country off to China like Clinton/Bush did.

He has not given away our rights to the globalists/climate-control/population-control agenda of the UN.

He supports individual property rights.

He survived impeachment from charges that were mostly manufactured and devoid of substance (from an opposition party full globalists and limousine liberals')

He was proactive in locking out China in defiance to WHO.

He is not stripped away civil rights of Americans now or during the pandemic.

He Has used the bully pulpit instead of passing laws or extreme Executive Orders to get things done.

He is pro-business and the stock market is still way ahead of where it was when he took office, despite the pandemic.

Taxes are low.

Gas prices are low.

Prior to the pandemic, record low unemployment, even for minorities that seen in decades.

We are self sufficient in oil production for the first time in decades.

He has crossed the isle and worked with Democrats to get economic relief passed. If the Biden was in Office it wouldn't have happened at all. They much too liberal with money, IMHO! But liberals have no room to complain on this.

You all think it would better under Biden or Hilary??? Phat Chance!!! Trump has his faults, but golly-gee-whiskers...Wake up and smell the coffee! He's not that bad despite some rough edges.

In the midst of this crisis, there's some good news.

There's no more opioid crisis.

Or problems with:

E-cigs

Impeachment

Climate Change

Russian Interference

Roads seem smoother too, from inside the house.

Subway restaurant in Sanford, MI (which opened in the last week of February of 2009) is closed since Friday, April 3 at 6:00 because of poor customers from where I live!! McDonalds in Sanford is still open (drive - thru or take out) from 5:00 in the morning till 11:00 at night (take out) & 12 midnight (drive thru).

I'm at 0 at this point. I think I had it in February for a few days. If so, it was weird, but I fought it off.

Thanks for the update. We were all wondering about fast food restaurants in Sanford.

I remain at the same "2" I was at when this thread was started. While the virus did spread further than I had originally thought it would, we are nowhere near the doom-and-gloom, near-Armageddon condition that the media said we'd be in by now.

However, on a scale of 1-10, my concern stands at about a 6 as to whether the government response to this pandemic has caused irreversible damage to both our economy and to our civil liberties.
